How many minutes did he play yesterday? You’re all pathetic
The criticism here is ridiculous. He’s not a perfect player, I’ll admit that, but his potential is sky-high. He’s one of the few who actually creates something in attack -always taking on his defender, always looking to play forward, unlike too many of our players who just pass sideways and backwards. How many minutes did he play yesterday? If I’m the manager, he’s starting every single game. He’s got massive potential, but he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Pep simply doesn’t know how to use him.
He’s a counter attacking player playing for a manager that doesn’t play that way ever, with his high line defence approach, he’s the same as Sav, Marmoush, Haaland they all like space to run into to, Doku should of never been bought the way we play, I’m starting to believe most of the squad hate the way we play.
The thing with potential is you hope to see gradual improvements. He doesn't look any better than when he first arrived. In fact, his full debut was his best game for us. This is his third season now and he's not really kicked on.
He also turns 24 towards the end of this season, he's not a kid anymore and not getting any better
I don't mind him in our squad. He definitely offers something different to our other players, not that much of what he tries actually comes off but at least it's a chance of approach.

The thing is who has actually improved for us in recent times?Maybe he hasn't improved due to a lack of consistent game time. A player like this needs to be a regular starter to smooth the edges of his game.

I agree but that is how it has usually been with our wingers in the past. We give them the ball and expect them to use their skills to beat their man in 1v1 situations. Doku is supposedly more athletic than any wingers we've had in the past including leroy and raheem. The thing is he actually isn't as skillful and doesn't make great decisions in the final third so theoretically he should be doing better but isn't.I've commented on Doku quite a few times - I'm not a fan generally but I'm starting to sympathise with him a bit.
There doesn't seem to have been any tactical adjustment or coaching to help him improve - we give him the ball and expect him to do something is about the sum of it. Added to the poor low crosses, what are we actually doing in training these days?
He seems really motivated but I feel like to know this is his final season if he doesn't significantly improve.
I am sure he would play for Newcastle, Chelsea and Spurs. No wingers excels for us. If we are being real no ONE excels for us. In the last years who actually had a crazy impact beside Haaland ?My biggest issue is that he's lazy. There were periods of the second half where we were on the break and he literally never made a run in behind. Add to that his final action is rubbish and it's hard to see him being at the club in twelve months time. £55m down the toilet. He doesn't start for any other top six side.
Doesn't have the start or middle product either at the moment. I feel that whether it's him or Marmoush, we need to choose one and give him a run of games as starter. I don't think this chopping or changing is doing either player much good.Fair play to him and I hope the penny has dropped. He had a unique skill set that could be so good but it doesn’t have the end product. He cost a lot and has 2 years to show he is up to it. He is getting a third season and unless he scores and assists more then he should be binned.

That’s not true. Doku is not counter attacking player. He is quick in first steps but after that his speed is average. I find Doku perfect for breaking the defence walls because of perfect dribbling he can. He need more players in the box for more assists.
