'Donnarumma 100 per cent not the right GK for City'

French football expert Julien Laurens speaking on the Transfer Talk Podcast:

"Is he the right fit for Manchester City? The answer is: 100 per cent, he isn't.

"On saves - him and Thibaut Courtois, there are no goalkeepers better. Maybe that is enough for Guardiola to say he wants him.

"But to play for Guardiola you have to be good with your feet. If you're not good with the ball at your feet, you are not a Guardiola goalkeeper.

"His distribution is not good enough for a Guardiola team. And his other weakness is he does not come for the ball in the air, he doesn't like coming for crosses and corners.

"If there is one league in the world where you have to be brave like that, it's the Premier League. I cannot see how Guardiola thinks 'this is the perfect guy for me'."

Maybe we are planning for the manager after Pep? I really don't think he is going to stay beyond this season.
If he'd have signed for the rags they'd be wanking themselves blind over him. Take no notice, we've just signed the best shot stopper in the world.

And there are some fans who are expecting prime messi in goal. Born winner, captain for Italy only 26 fucking buzzing with this signing. Trafford is good but he’s not a title winning keeper (yet) donnarumma is.

He's an excellent shot stopper but won't suit how Pep wants to play. You'll find that out.

Some want to believe he's leaving PSG due to money etc but Enrique wants a keeper who can pass. Donnarumma can't.

Had a look on the cafe, they’re gutted to the point one said he’s a Woodward type signing. Hahaha. Bitter, red, stadium falling apart, shit signings, shit managers, shit fans of whom none are from Manchester, horrible, vile rag TWATS!

I've seen enough of him to know he is a world class keeper. Enough for me ta
World class shot stopper, as the article says. Don't think you can be considered a world class keeper in this era when you cannot play out and struggle with balls into the box.

PSG fans are unbothered by him leaving. Should tell you something.

There are some on here who have their heads placed firmly in the sand over his kicking and passing.

Pep will not be changing how he wants the team to play to accomodate his lack of passing skills.
Pep has changed the teams style 3 times in the last 9 seasons.

He will have more scouting intel on Donnarumma than anyone here. I imagine he knows how to accommodate the drop in passing ability.

You arent replicating Ederson with anyone, Ederson was used as an initial playmaker at times. They just don't need to do that anymore. It's not the drastic change that people think it is.

You, sir, speak common sense.

Of course he isn't as he isn't signing for any of the red mardarses.

Whilst there is a Conga going on in the sky sports studio because of Isak they still find the time to fire out their negative shite about our transfers.

Can't understand why you'd post it though. Odd.

I want this signing because it shows something we haven’t shown in the transfer market for a while…intent. The intent to go and get one of the best in the world in his position.

I wanted Eddie to stay but it’s been clear for a while that was never going to happen. We couldn’t be left with Trafford and Ortega. Trafford will get his chance in the cups. He will have the chance to show what he is capable of and what he can become but this current shitshow of a City side, is not the place for him to be number 1.

We need experience and we need a presence. I want our defenders to know they have someone like Donnarumma behind them.

Signing Donnarumma is hopefully the 1st step towards us showing that we mean business again.

Are they? Did you see the send-off he got in person from their fans?
