Ah yes, the old "get behind the team routine". I don't know how old you are and don't really care, but I do remember us getting behind the team all the way to the third division.Like City I do not comment on out of context remarks. But I do think City fans need to get behind the team and manager when things don't appear to be going well.
Really? I think we should be pleased with top 4. If we make the top 4 and say win the FA Cup, that's an incredibly good season for us.
So what you're saying is we're shit, just not that shit. This is a masterclass in manipulating stats. We've only played 7 games against the top 10 away in the last year, and we won 1 (Fulham), so that stat isn't even correct.

A perfectly valid opinion. I don't think it has anything to do with adaptation or injuries but then I've been vocal on this for a while and would love to be wrong.Yeah it's just the usual engagement baiting after a loss when everyone's lost their heads.
I think what Pep said after Brighton was correct, we did a lot of stuff well but lost our heads after conceding.
The bare bones of a very good team are their, we're just going to have a rough couple of months while new signings adapt and players return from injury and the team has to rediscover it's confidence.

We are operating like a "history club" - more focused on our past successes than our actual performances.
The sooner we snap out of this the sooner we can focus on some remedies.
careful you will be accused of being entitled for wanting us to do well just because we used to be properly shite we should not be bothered when we are falling into mediocrityStats or not we have been meh for a long while.

we are falling into mediocrity
To me it seems out of sync. If we are investing (as we are) in a rebuild of players, then why is Pep not modifying our style of play dramatically in order to cater to the new players.Or maybe we're just rebuilding the most successful club side in English football history and it's not going to happen overnight.
We should have only needed to put a few new slates on ,not a whole roof.Or maybe we're just rebuilding the most successful club side in English football history and it's not going to happen overnight.
True but the rebuild should have been 1 or 2 seasons ago. IMO keeping Pep makes no sense now because the rebuild s so late and it should be someone else's opportunity to create their own squad. It's posts like this that really hammer home that Pep, and the level of success Pep has brought to this club has completely melted people's brains.
It's been 40 league games since we won our 4th title in a row, and 6th in 7 years.
What did people think was going to happen? That we'd win the league title every single year forever? Have people forgotten 14/15 and 15/16? We are going to have fallow years. 1, 2, 3 years between titles isn't falling into mediocrity, it's just unavoidable as players and the team get old and get replaced.
Liverpool who are doing so well now and look impressive - they just had a 5 year title drought, and that was the shortest in the league. Chelsea haven't won in 9 years, United 13 years, Arsenal 22 years.
