Thank You Ederson Moraes

Class act and changed how goalkeepers are viewed and how technically gifted and mentally strong they need to be. All the very best. Think we will only realise how good he is now he is leaving.

A legend of the club and of the English game. Pivotal to our success and changed expectations of goalkeeping in the Premier League.

Also… very much enjoyed the story from a few years back when we’d won a derby at the swamp and the dressing room celebrations were reportedly slightly “boisterous”… Mourinho apparently came in to complain and Eddie started having a row with him in loud Portuguese telling him in no uncertain terms to get to fuck.

Top man.

Well done many a trophy and an integral part of the most successful period of the clubs history.

Always welcome back for sure and certain as a guest or spectator and hopefully for him a few good years left in front of the goal ad unlikely to play against us as a bonus.

Another example of the changing of the guard and we plan for a successful future as we bottom out.

One of the greats at City, now.

And probably the right time as he looks like he needs new motivation.

Good luck.

When we changed Joe Hart for the talented Brazilian I thought he must have been special. Well imo he certainly was. I loved his coolness, and his ability to hit near perfect long balls, and his shot stopping, (especially against inter). I've really enjoyed watching Eddie. He's one of the best,if not the best, we've had at city. Oh,I did see Bert Trautman play, but I was only 7 and couldn't appreciate him at the time.
All I can say now is thankyou and good luck Ederson Morealis on your next adventure. Once a blue.
We changed Hart for Clownio Bravo

Unlike my Old Man and numerous uncles, I didn't see Frank Swift but I have seen everyone of our 'keepers since Bert Trautmann.. and without doubt Ederson is, for me, the greatest of them all.

He has reinvented the art of goalkeeping, of that let there be absolutely NO doubt, especially from supporters of other clubs when they try to diminish our individual and collective achievements at every turn.

And while he was reinventing that art, he was as cool as anything you could imagine. So cool, he was cooler in fact than a freezer set to Absolute Zero at the South Pole.. that's how cool he was.

Best wishes, good luck and 'Thanks!', Eddy..!

Transformed our ability to play from the back and will forever be grateful for those saves in the CL final.

I’m from the US and I’ve only seen one game live. One of the things that I was most in awe of was Ederson’s warm up. His ability to kick with such pinpoint accuracy was astounding.

For those who know more about him this might not be an apt comparison but he always kind of reminded me of Manny Ramirez - who played baseball for the Boston Red Sox. He was kind of a mad genius. Did all kinds of bizarre stuff but when he was on it, there were few better. They had a saying that was “oh, that was just Manny being Manny” and I often think that about Eddie.
