Since Luis Campos has gone into PSG they have gone away from huge basic salaries to a more performance based strategy. Is offering a lower salary really a proper offer of a new deal or is it more a "find yourself another club" thing
I’d prefer a shit John Stones!Dias debatable I’d prefer a fit John stones
In some ways, the Turkish window being open later works in our favour.
If this gets to deadline day, all we need is an agreement on a fee with Galatasaray, we can then complete the Donnarumma move, and Ederson can complete his in the coming days. Whereas if they wait and that agreement isn't reached on deadline day, the move is dead for them.
Do you not see any flaw with this plan?
Hopefully he'll be a brilliant signing for usIt is going to be different. There are times where we are going to miss Eddy's long passing. The plus with Donnarumma he does have a presence so he won't completely struggle in adapting to the Premier League.
He might not have a choice if results keep going the waI hope so. If there’s rumours of Pep potentially not seeing out his contract then that itself is worrying. We want a fully committed manager. I also don’t agree in signing players that go totally against a managers way of playing, despite if that manager only has a year left.
They have signed multiple big names in the last decade with no plan on how to use them. It is that opportustic market strategy that worries me.Utd don’t sign world class players anymore
Today, in modern football, a goalkeeper is as important as any other position. Today, a goalkeeper wins you a competition (in everyone's opinion here in France, he, along with Hakimi and Dembele, were the three key players in the Champions League victory). I've already written a long article explaining the reasons for his departure from PSG. He was willing to lower his salary to stay in Paris. He's Italy's number 1 and can't go a season without playing. He will always make an effort to meet his salary requirements. If his profile (footwork, aerial ability) isn't satisfactory, in two years, he'll be 28 years old. When the average price of a good goalkeeper is 50 million (Chevalier, Costa, etc.), his asking price of 25 million pounds compensates for his salary. There will always be clubs knocking at his door to buy one of the best goalkeepers in the world.I provided some stats on Donnarumma last season, on their own, they're utterly meaningless so I compared them to the man he is replacing for a reference point, I dont think thats anything but a reasonable thing to do.
Not sure your claim of there always being a market for him is accurate. Teams dont buy and sell keepers anywhere near as often as outfield players and there is only a very select few teams that would be willing to pay him the wages he is going to get here, even PSG didnt think he was worth want he wants. He's far too young for a Saudi club to come in for him so the clubs he could potentially move to if he were to be moved on at some point in the future would be very small.
Well going out on a limb I think we might play him in hmm Goal ?They have signed multiple big names in the last decade with no plan on how to use them. It is that opportustic market strategy that worries me.
I am not saying this is a bad move. I am just saying I really hope that it isn't
Time tends to do that.Time is ticking away
They have signed good players every single summer for a decade. The reason they haven't worked as intended is the same reason why I am hesitant of us suddenly deciding to capitalise on a market opportunity to attach ourselves to a big-name goalkeeper who doesn't suit our blueprint at all considering our project still has Pep Guardiola leading it.They normally sign good players do they?
Still 2 hours after the window shuts mate.Time is ticking away
HilariousWell going out on a limb I think we might play him in hmm Goal ?
Glad you enjoyed itHilarious
still hoping this falls through....this signing is a mistake
Fuck me do one, it’s fucking well annoying. You whinge every other post. Bet you’re a right laugh on a night out.A keeper who will cause as many problems as he saves. you thiknk Trafford is twitchy with the ball at his feet and makes our defenders look nervous...just wait for this guy to get a pass back
If I am ANY opposition manager Im telling my forwards to press him like hell and dont stop
Ten minutes to go this looks like it's not happening.
Dias’s spine looks jammed from his escapades with MayaSpine is looking good now
