Watched the last Mission Impossible movie. Very disappointing end to the franchise. I can appreciate the stunts etc but it felt like they'd written part one without thinking about how part two might finish and then wrote part two as fan service no one wanted. On the plus side Hayley Atwell is not hard to look at although Tom Cruise's increasingly puffy face is.
Fun Fact - At the end of the film, when they're on the stern of the ship waiting for it to go down, there's a bloke dressed in white next to them. He's a real survivor of the sinking, and was a chef on Titanic who had a big drink problem, so he was pissed as a fart when the ship went down. He defied all the odds and survived for around 2 hours in the freezing water as his body somehow managed to stay warm enough to keep his blood flowing around his body.Titanic.
One of the most underrated films of all time, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Its fucking superb. Proper 10/10.
It definitely doesn't feel like a coherent pair of movies. You get a big plot change in-between the two moviesMm... Not sure that's what happened with the film.
I believe the second part had been shot (done back to back) and was supposed to be released the following year from 'Dead Reckoning', but I think covid had an effect on cinema and then political events changed the film (I think it was Israel related?). I could be wrong, but I believe there were reshoots with that in mind.
Maybe I'm conflating other affected films...
Agreed. The racing sequences were really well done. Cinematography was excellentF1
Not bad, worth a watch i think even if you're not interested in motor racing.

No mate but Simone Ashley gave me a bone on.Did you get the 'mysterious cowboy' backbone too?
Cos I did.
It lacked realism for me. So many water scenes filmed in an obvious studio. The original Poseidon Adventure was miles better and much more realistic.Titanic.
