Like anyone he deserves time and for me he hasn’t even started yet. He will start doing the work to plan the next few seasons now and we owe him the opportunity. Txiki was superb but clearly dropped the ball and oversaw a huge regression in efficacy in the market. He needed to go and it will take time to right his errors, even Pep must take some responsibility. Like everyone I’m underwhelmed by the window and the immediate prospects but hopefully we are about to start a cracking journey.

I mean Liverpool and Arsenal are only coming to us with Frimpong/Bradley and Timber/White I'm not sure any of those are much to write home about.

I think we are being more cautious after the Grealish situation.
Huge big money signings rarely pay for themselves.
We have spent a lot but the fees are modest. Plus the fact we needed to bring a few in and, reduce the age of the squad.

Why not just stump up the money for him then. Liverpool have just done that to get what they wanted. Why didn’t we? Why is everyone we buy a prospect at the moment.

It’s not a question of the ones I want or don’t want. It’s just a fact that we don’t have any RBs.We have two. They may be not the ones you want.
Nunes isn’t a RB. He wasn’t signed as RB and didn’t play RB for Wolves. Pep keeps playing him at RB and for some reason thinks he’s good at it…
Lewis has played various positions including RB and failed to prove that he is an adequate RB. In fact he’s proved the opposite…that he’s not a RB.
Anyone who can’t see this is just delusional, sorry.
I just cannot believe that there were no suitable RB options this summer. Surely to fuck there must have been someone somewhere on the planet that was available and better than the two we’ve got!

He has been left with probably x6 players in the last year of their contracts plus De Bruyne and it’s only when they have departed will we see us competing for the very top notch players again added to a successful result for the 115 charges.
Disappointing that Reis and Echeverri have not stayed to help develop in the Premiership, but I guess that’s Peps choice.
We were never competing for the title this year or the Champions league so it would have been the ideal time to see if they are good enough.
Peps reluctance to play three of the January signings has come back to haunt us because by now they should all have half a seasons experience.
Top four this season will be as big an achievement as the last premiership title.
