Will we win the league this season?

Definitely not this season I'm afraid. More chance of it not raining during any of our home league games this season than of winning it.

Pep"s style was built around that brilliant crop of Barcelona youngsters and then he found similar technically gifted players at both Bayern and City.

However, if it was that simple, then United would be boasting about the Class of 93 and the Class of 94.

Bernardo has lost his edge, but we're even worse without him.
It was the same last year with KDB

Everything has a shelf life and I fear that life under Pep is rapidly reaching that point

I'll be happy with 4th

If the plan is to continue with Nunes and Ait Nouri at fullback, with two centre halves and our collection of slow and/or weak midfielders, I think it will be a slog. Might squeeze into the top four, depending on how others go.
If Pep rediscovers his mojo (or marbles), we could still compete.

At BHA we had a back 4 of Nunes Khusanov Stones and Ait-Nouri. I front of the defence was Rodri and Reijnders. They need games. There is weakness at no.2, no. 10 and no. 7. We conceded a very unlucky penalty which was a freak, but we also spent an hour in total control and didn't score a 2nd goal. The game illustrated our weakness quite well. I think we'd have won it had Cherki or Foden been available.

NOT A CHANCE
Unless of course
Donnarumma continues to be the best shot stopper in the world.
AND
The new players bed in quickly.
AND
Pep changes his style with a long kick out ball over the top to Haaland to break the extreme press (and indeed prevent the extreme press being deployed in the first place).

I am not sure it was unlucky or a freakish penalty, it was a bloke playing right back who is not a right back and doesn’t really know how to defend properly!!!

Sad to say!!??

This early in the season, I think we will not win the league :0(

Too many of last seasons problems still remain this season!!

In my opinion :0(

A trained full back would have been more conscious about not raising their arms but I have seen plenty of defenders giving away unconscious handballs purely because their arms are making their body bigger. Let's say then it was a combination of bad luck and defensive error.

We've added Donnarumma and Reijnders and so I think we are stronger and if Stones, Rodri and Bobb stay fit, we should be stronger than last season.

We are now stuck between the old guard that’s lost their edge, and a new generation that’s still finding their feet which they may never do. It’s a dangerous place to be when the others are breathing down your neck and some pulling away in front.
Are you allowed to say that? Surely all these great young players just need a season or three to get themselves into title winning form. I read it on Bluemoon so it must be true.

Continual reference is made to the right back position but perhaps City could have addressed that had we not needed to bring in 2 goalkeepers. We went into this window with both regular keepers in the last 12 months of their contracts. When City sat down at the start of the recruitment process, I suspect that sorting the goalkeeping position was a high priority and rightly so when you consider their role in games. You have to get that right. I am confident that we have done that. Right back, left wing, no. 10 might be next depending on how this season progresses.

I think a defensive coach would be a good idea

In my opinion the biggest error the club made was having virtually no pre season , 1 game against an Italian 2nd division side isn't preparation for the Premier league , even Chelsea who got to the final of the club world cup played two relatively competitive games against Leverkusen and AC Milan , so without doubt we could have played at least 3 , When Tottenham played City it was their 7th or 8th game and it showed , they looked fitter and more organised , Brighton also , particularly as the game wore on , first 6 or 7 games we're playing catch up , by the time we're up to speed the league may be out of our reach unfortunately...

i think we'l be fine, a bit late to the party but we'l regain the form, the spine of the team is good and now backed up with the worlds best keeper, we havnt had a pre season to speak of so its going to take a bit of time for these players to click, we may not win it but i have no dout we will be top 4
