Did you not watch the game on Sunday, after the penalty we had no possession because Trafford was kicking it long & it was coming straight back
Do you think for a second that a far-worse-on-the-ball-but-David-de-Gea-style-keeper-Donnarumma is going to be better?

not really arsed about his footwork......ive seen his best compilations on youtube and im erect thanks.

some of his big moment saves are fucking unbelievable man. Hes gonna save us so many points.
Just like that Danish c*nt did for the Rags. His kicking wasn’t great either.

Sorry but this signing is not exciting me at all.

We need a bloody right back.

Not excited about arguably the best keeper in the world coming?

Some of our fans have become spoiled and entitled. Everything we disliked about fans of certain other teams over the years.

Obviously if he's booting the ball to the opposition at every opportunity
That would be the better outcome. Instead, he'll attempt to play out from the back, per instruction from Pep, and that will lead to numerous dangerous situations for us.

Dias is too slow on the ball to cope with Donnarumma.
Ait Nuori is a defensive liability. If Donnarumma passes the ball to him when pressure is coming - nothing good is going to transpire.
Nunes/Rico have problems as well.

Long story short - Donnarumma is yet another excellent player who doesn't fit out system and if played is going to make our side worse.

I swear the weird obsession with playing the ball at his feet needs to stop.

Hes one of the best shot stoppers in the world.

Also he conceded 1 goal against a press heavy team in Liverpool over 180 mins of football.

Pressing is not some ingenious new tactic that nobody knows how to play against. If you know it's coming, you know what to do. Drop one midfielder briefly to overlap if there's an issue. Don't do what Trafford did against Brighton and send John Stones into the corner with two men on him.

Lastly, he's only 26, why can he not develop his footwork further? Why is he considered the finished article?

As sad as I am to see Ederson go, this was the absolute best replacement for the job.

Exactly! get a big bastard scary vocal shot stopper in goal, having a strong keeper who saves shots is a massive confidence booster to the side. Also makes other teams think.....

maybe im too old school, but i like a keeper who can actually save stuff :-)

It honestly baffles me how some people about Trafford and Donnarumma as if they are like-for-like calibre players; GD is a clear level above Trafford right now.

Trafford is 3.5 years younger that's only natural and he may get there in time. But I can't get my head around people being genuinely upset that we're not risking the entire season on Trafford as sole first choice, by signing a proven top-level keeper.
Agree some bizarre views saying probably the best keeper in the world is not good enough!

I think it's a statement signing this one, probably the 1st since Haaland? Arguably the best keeper in the world. I think he'll be absolutely fine and we'll adapt as a team without Ederson's ball playing.

He'll definitely save us some points with his shot stopping and big game ability. His leadership is much needed in this team.
