Why would this be news on a UK news channel? If we were in Alabama then yes, but we ain’t.

Also Space Command and Alabama don’t exactly sound like a natural fit :)

so true - used to have a boss who wore a rug when I first started work - jet black but greying in a straight line around his head where wig and hair met he took one Xmas off and came back grey haired. Also he was a god botherer and had in his office pictures of him meeting Billy Graham when he was much younger with a bald head - no idea who he thought he was fooling

Quite remarkable how weak the US is looking right now. The deadline Trump imposed has come and gone (again), Putin is hanging out with his best buds and spitting out lies to the extent you would think Ukraine had invaded Russia, no one gives any credence to what the US says anymore and the Trump Administration spend the day playing space cadets and planning to invade Chicago.

It’s beyond nuts. Christ knows if the US ever get any credibility back.

Huntsville, AL is a huge space town. US Space and Rocket Center is there. My kid went to NASA Space Camp for a week when ten years old there.
 
Watching the news tonight its clear that a weak American President who is clueless on the domestic and world stages governing by means of diktat based upon revenge is speeding up the transition or power from West to East which is something that many Eastern leaders strived for and failed to do so.

If they succeed they will control everything - China will get Taiwan - we could be on the brink of an India/Pakistan nuclear conflict and Putin will have the support and finances he wants - Ukraine will be overwhelmed and NATO under immediate threat - the biggest threat to the USA will be if the dollar is dropped as the standard currency measure across the globe in which case they descend into chaos

The decline of the U.S. dollar's status is due to America's excessive involvement in conflicts around the world. Countries threatened by U.S. financial sanctions are unlikely to trust the dollar. In this sense, Trump's isolationist approach is actually saving the dollar.
