PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Have some of the issues in the APT case complicated things? I know it’s a separate case but some of the broader issues which came up in APT around the obstructive behaviour of some PL officials may overlap.

Not sure there is overlap but some of the sculduggery, unprofessional behaviour and acting in bad faith will have been picked up and used separately in the 115/130 case by City if appropriate or relevant. You can be pretty sure that City will have pinpointed any third party interference and pressure exerted on the PL.

@slbsn not City related but in regards to psr, how have Liverpool been able to spend this much in one window. They posted pre tax losses in their previous accounts of £57 million and haven’t actually posted profits since their 2022 accounts. They have increased match day revenue and they have a new deal kicking in from Addidas. Is it the minority stake Dynasty Equity purchased back in 2023 that has enabled them to clear debt and improve cash flow thats helped them to be so active this summer?

I’d be interested to know how Arsenal have been able to keep spending the way they have…. Must be very close to the PSR limit - especially if the soft loans have to be included in their calculation - post APT2.

Don't care what anyone says, the tramps have been given the nod by someone or something to spend like fuck, probably because this psr and apt is now null and void and utter bollocks.
I can just see their chairman telling masters that they are going big this season and masters patting him on the arse saying I didn't see anything.

Listen I'm not arsed what clubs spend, if they've earned it then fair do's but this mammoth splurge from Liverpool is suspicious to say the least.

Red cartel wanker clubs.

Just listening to Martin O’Neill on Sly.

Usually think he’s a bit of a tit but he speaks well on PSR. Basically understands what a load of bollocks it is and how it ensures the usual suspects stay at the top and stops everyone else competing.
He probably has a bit of sympathy for Villa - they are probably the club who have lost out the most over recent years.

Football is an unedifying sight at the mo.
PSR is a farce restricting competition and City are suing again.
The 130 charges are stuck simply because the PL complicated the issue to appease the redshirts.
City are in turmoil vis a vis CFG.
WHAM have a technical director who is banned from the training ground by the manager.
The rags are still in the clutches of the Glazres.
Wednesday, Morecombe and others are suffering nutty owners.
I could go on but the picture is not pretty.
Football eh? Bloody hell.

You should have just said “we didn’t start the fire…” let folks fill the rest of the words chumming along!

I'm no expert but isn't PSR worked out over 3 years? And the tramps net spend over the last 3 years is less than £10m more than ours... even after the Isak deal

I suspect they're ok to spend what they have done... but will be restricted over the next two years and won't be able to do this again

Given the Red Cartel are the prosecution in our case of course they know the outcome already
To me they can spend like fuck now knowing they lost the battle but with insider knowledge they are determined to win the war thereby they know exclusively that they can spend spend spend as their rules have been binned and no doubt any breaches now won’t/can’t be retrospectively applied to something deemed illegal or at best non applicable
The only fly in my theory is as the defence in the case we too know the outcome and do seem to be spending but why haven’t we gone for A class established players or at least been an interested party

Not the slightest problem for them unfortunately, if they run into any difficulties the puppet Masters will simply amend the rules.

In that infamous interview when Masters kept referring to us a "regime" he seemed quite sure that our period of dominance was over. He was quite emphatic that another club, not regime, would take over and be dominant for a sustained period. It was almost as if it was a fait accompli. Of course the MSM stooge didn't respond with the obvious follow up question "How can you be so sure ?". All of it, the disregarding of CAS2020, PSR, APT1, APT2, the bu115hit charges, the draconian points sanction on Everton, the rules against multi club ownership, the zero % interest free loans, etc etc etc it was him saying this will work now, just watch this space. The tramps and the tarquins have seized the opportunity, the only bright side is the raggys have blown it through their unparalleled gross incompetentence.

I wonder what was in those emails from Masters to other Club Directors which the PL had to release to City.

I met him once on a very long flight and we spoke football for hours. In fact I kept in touch with him for a while afterwards as well. He could not have been nicer. He has a soft spot for City and loved his short stint with us. He was about to join Celtic as Manager but told me he would have loved to manage City.

Their hope was to destroy the club and wipe City off the game board. The complexity of how many charges they have bolted and and cut and shut together means it was always doomed to fail, however it probably has worked in destabilising the club with the executive team throwing the kitchen sink fighting this and taking their eye off the ball on the rebuild.

Liverpool will use every trick in the book from tapping up players to hacking scouting software to get a sporting advantage. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were bad mouthing the club to players in the market this summer. They’ve seen a very rare sign of instability at City and took advantage of it with this window. I hope boss man Carl Doon is ready to plot taking them down a peg or two when all this is done.

With Van Dyke & Salah's legs already gone and Konate possibly running his contract down and off to RM, it's a huge gamble that all of the signings pay off. Their future short term spending won't be so expansive for sure.

They have done what we should have done after the treble and been ruthless. Their plan is long term and they are set to go for a good few years now minus that centre back position. They have had several outgoings and as mentioned by someone else they spent zip all last year. They can have this splurge because it is over 3 years and even more so when they won't be spending big moving forwards. I am jealous of their approach, the thing we all hate is the hypocrisy and double standards around it.

Couple that with Slot wanting to put a stamp on the team and play his own brand of footie, rather than 'hoofball', they are definitely in a transition.
