Ambition and Balls

Wharton is a good player and suits us if we hadnt signed Nico. We cant have another player who isnt athletic. Baleba a better fit.

We're not going to buy Pedri for a quarter of a billion or pay 150 million for a lad out with an ACL tear for starters, so back to the drawing board right away there.

I watch a lot of Brighton and imo these 3 players we should be all over in the summer.

Firstly baleba. No surprise there but he will get his move next year and has the energy, hunger and stamina we need in cm.

Secondly van hecke - has 1 year left on his deal next summer and will be able to get him at a good price. Would be a great depth option for cb

Thirdly minteh - this would be the best option of the 3 imo. Has great pace, incredible work rate and is still only 21. He would automatically upgrade our rw options imo

Next summer needs to be one of ambition and balls replacing many players that are either at WC or close to it. Who could be those players and let's face it they are going to be v expensive but we need to aim for 3-4 best in class wherever they are, every player has a price nomatter what the selling club initially say. I would say this may be a £500M spend window, maybe more

3 key areas/ players/ projected costs

Right Back: Livramento: £80M
Centre Midfield: Pedri: £250M (who gives a shit if this is the price, worth it)
Centre Midfield: Wharton: £80 (already really good will be superb)
LW/ Attacker: Musiala: £150M, (release clause maybe)

Pedri is the very hard one but every player has a price, getting him to move to Manc maybe tricky
Those are the ones would should be keeping, not replacing.

Why do people think we can't get players like Pedri if we wanted to? Fuck me you'd think we were still playing in the 3rd division.
How well have Real Madrid fared nabbing players from us? Aguero, D.Silva, Haaland?

Haaland was never on the table, the papers reported that they were in for him before we bought him and the gossip after was well...just gossip.

If players don't move or do move they will do a move that's beneficial to them, the only advice I can give anyone is skip the bedspreads and the tattoos because football has very much changed now.

A lot changes in 12 months and especially after a world cup. There will be new flavour of the months by then and i'm sure we will be after top level targets. Problem as always is they might fancy somewhere else.

Ah, Brighton. A team apparently made up entirely of top-class players who still somehow barely trouble the top half of the table year after year

I still don't see it with Baleba. Brighton looked exponentially better when he was replaced by a 39-year-old James Milner. Baleba attempted just 18 passes and won zero tackles in his 60 minutes on the pitch

Minteh wouldn't be an upgrade on Savinho. Statistically very similar, except Minteh scores more and Savinho assists more:

Pedri about as unattainable as they come unless the lad wins it all and wants new ambitions. Forget him.

Our realistic aim should be on Olise (who supposedly will have a release clause/want Prem next summer), and Livramento/other emerging wingback.

These two lads in addition to the S tier quality we have emerging should make us into a force again. Bah, Reis, Khusanov, and Gvardiol is a fierce group of defenders. Tijani and Rodri will gel overtime and allow Foden, Cherki and Marmoush to kick on.

Do we need a thread every time somebody plays Football Manager in their own mind?

If we’re going down the fantasy signings route I’d say go for Livramento, Guehi and Barcola.
