Do you have a favourite ever goal?

In terms of quality I’ve always loved this Aguero goal at Spurs in 2011.

5:10

While Sergio’s 1-2 was beautiful, and the goal was well taken, the standout goal in that game was Dzeko’s 4th! On the run “pass” with his “wrong” foot into the top corner on the angle!!

Yep, I was at that game and Dzekos last goal always sticks in my mind, brilliant goal ..... as was Aguero's, they just couldn't get anywhere near him , it was some finish!

Just getting better and better the more intolerable they become.

Listen to the roar after he hits his second, it’s different, it’s spectacular, it’s special. The tone of that roar I’ve never heard before or agin since. We knew we were watching greatness. £35 million! Absolutely ridiculous to think he was only £35 million! What a player. My favourite goal, because it was the start of something unbelievable.

Tell you what goal made my jaw drop - Tevez free kick against Stoke the game after the cup final I think it was.
Most of Tevez’s goals were great! Loved him at City! A right pain the arse for the opposing team! Nah take that back Dickov was a pain in the arse. Tevez was their worst nightmare.

It's so difficult because there's been so many, but for me, it might very well be this one:

It's just absolute perfection. The movement, skill, vision, crispness of passing, weight of passing, sheer genius. It's just awesome. That last touch from Silva - absolute gooseflesh.

(And 93:30 doesn't count ;-) Too obvious)

He was sublime! It was almost like he was embarrassed by his talent and would rather have a normal job!

He had more goals for Spain than Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta combined!

I recall Agueros brilliant goal in the 2-1 win at the Ethiad, the way he took it was stunning, he reacted in a split second and smashed it into the roof of the net from a tight angle, he left the Liverpool keeper clutching at fresh air at the South Stand end of the ground, what a finish that was!! ..... sounds very much like one of the goals you're referring to there.

Whilst it's not my absolute favourite (I don't want to pick one as there are far too many for different reasons and context), what I appreciate and admire is Aguero's absolute awareness of his positioning before he lets the shot go.

It's a split sec calculation, losing the 'good' angle, defender closing in, maintaining the balance, having to get the ball to his other foot, big keeper and where to put the ball. He's *got the picture in his mind, rather than hit and hope. It's pure and natural.

Shows he was clearly someone born to play the game.

Absolutely ..... the way he took that goal was the mark of someone with a quick brain, and a natural or born goalscorer .... he maneouvred himself into position, and smashed that ball high into the net before Liverpool even knew what was going on.

He took the ball to a tight angle, yet it never even entered his head for a single second that he wouldn't get it on target and score, when 'lesser' players would have either fallen over, mis-kicked the ball .. or put it into the stand!
