Do you have a favourite ever goal?

We all know what the obvious ones are so I'm going for something a bit different.

Arsenal 0-3 City at The Emirates.

Sane got the goal, the build up to that goal was frightening! Absolutely carved them open with one touch passing and movement like a knife through butter.

Quality goal.
Loved this goal, I think this was Pep's peak City team, the football at times was unbelievable, Jesus goal in the last minute for the 100 points is another memorable one

Not considering the obvious choices which have been instrumental in us winning derbies/promotion/cups/Championship's and our recent past.

The following are my favourite goals

David White second goal
V Liverpool in a 2-1 win first home match of the season 1992? Night match, massive crowd (for the time) superb atmosphere and the ball smacked against the crossbar, bounced down and a delay, which felt like an eternity, until the goal was given. Cue bedlam.

Robinho v Chelsea. Taken over only days earlier, record signing and with anticipation at fever pitch, scores from a free kick early in the game.

Ian Brightwell, facing a Leeds team crowned as Champions the year before, and after watching dross football for over a season , Bobs goal, was a work of art and capped off a magnificent performance.

Sergio Aguero,

First game of the season and our record signing was on the bench. Game seemed a secondary consideration as everyone was desperate to see the new signing. Came on as sub for 20 minutes, was beyond electric and scored a cracking goal from 25 yards out.

I don't have a favourite goal because to me that's an impossible ask. There's also a lot of recency bias. But that was one hell of a goal. I didn't even applaud it. I didn't shout or scream. I just sat and absorbed what I believed I'd just seen.
But — to counter recency bias: very, very fond of Franny Lee against West Brom, Charity Shield, 1968. The slickest free kick I think I've ever seen taken. Nobody remembers it because unimportant match in the scheme of things. (Also, a lot of people on here weren't born when it was scored).
I was there and I remember it well. Just a brilliant move. Defenders totally baffled.

Yaya v Stoke. Started it all. In fact I'd have it alongside his semi-final goal v the Rags - but by a cig paper it'd be the final goal.

noting beats this!

I love the fact that them daft cunts, have a statues of 2 ex City Players on their forecourt (Law & Sir Matt)

So many to choose from over 50+ years and an awful lot of them in recent years too. But without trawling back through 20 pages, has anyone mentioned Dave Watson’s header against Ipswich in the late 70’s ??? Bullet header doesn’t do it justice……. Absolute .50 cal
I posted that goal earlier in this thread. An absolute bullet.

EDIT: Here it is:

League cup semi-final 2nd leg 17th December 1969.

Tie level on aggregate at 3-3 when City get an indirect free kick in the 82nd minute down at the Stretford end.

Franny belts the ball straight at the goals and Stepney instinctively blocks the ball out to Summerbee who scores the rebound and wins the tie.

Referee clearly indicated an indirect free kick but I don’t think Stepney could help himself and instinctively tried to stop it going in the net.
