What has the UK become under the far right influence?

Resort to childish posts to hide the fact you've been sussed. Typical cowardly behaviour we get from the knuckle draggers.

You don't believe this country has an indigenous population, you don't believe this country has an indigenous culture and I'm assuming that extends to Scotland, Wales and Ireland? France? Germany? You make no distinction between ethnicity and race, in fact I don't think you understand the terms.

I'm assuming, I have to do a lot of assuming as all you do is accuse anyone who disagrees with you of racism, that you believe this country is a country of immigrants. You have no opinion on multiculturalism, integration or assimilation. You have no opinion on why what's happening now is so different to say the 1970s, why the NF struggled to get even a handful of council seats back then and why now the bookies have Farage down for the next Prime Minister. You don't know why the flag is flying everywhere in England and now Scotland it seems. You have no opinion on civil as opposed the ethno nationalism.

I'm assuming you believe phrases like "my country" and "my people" let alone "proud Englishman" are nothing but dog whistle racism.

In truth you have no opinion other than anyone you disagree with is a racist, if I try to open up the debate you accuse me of being evasive and deliberately obfuscating (look it up).

In short you're an idiot and a nasty one at that.

I thought you weren't bothering with me, any more. You've shown what you are already, mate. No getting out of it now.
I didn't accuse YOU of racism, I asked about your claim that people had legitimate concerns over immigration. You failed to answer and resorted to making it personal.
The rest of what you write is just bullshit and assumptions, you fucking hypocrite.
WHAT LEGITIMATE CONCERNS?

Which is fine, when I replied to your first comment, it was the sentiment of might is right, not the arguments specifically of that book.
Afraid we must still disagree, pre-Socratics aside the essential rejection of all objective morality which underlies much contemporary far-right political ideology is a relatively modern development.

You don’t think we have had leaders and monarchs in our history that have displayed similar behaviours?

I guess he doesn't want to play your fine distinctions between race, ethnicity and culture. But using "my people" is an odd phrase. Is that as opposed to "you people"?

Of course, the most powerful will almost always prevail but their ideological camouflage didn't include the proposition that might is right per se before the last century.

I think we’re using different definitions of the term, I’d personally consider some as embodying that. I understand your perspective though.

I asked a relevant question...it wasn't personal until you made it that way with snide personal comments.. Typical pathetic right wing way of avoiding answering.

Hate to poke my nose into your discussion but I feel there are legitimate concerns about migrants arriving by boat without in many cases any documentation, I don't believe they should be put up in free hotels, given spending money and allowed to roam the streets. I think the idea of sealed camps until they are processed is a good one. I've asked on here before if you and a few friends rocked up on a beach in Ibiza with no documents would you expect to be put up in a hotel full board and given spending money whilst you enjoyed the beaches?

It's Sean Bean in Lord of the Rings.

On whose behalf do you think Zelenskyy is fighting his war?

British citizenship is well defined, but English ethnicity? However you might define it, It is not an infinitely elastic term, and if you were to attempt to define what's going on you'd have to come the conclusion something has snapped somewhere, hence these flags, which have now multiplied to seventeen Union flags and four English ones in the estate I overlook.

OK fair enough - at least it's useful that our discussion gave me the opportunity to identify some characterisations of the barbaric inhumanity underlying much contemporary right wing politics.

How we deal with asylum seeking immigration is an issue that is being dealt with more recently. The tories caused the backlog. I agree...it's not an ideal situation, but not the problem these knuckle draggers claim on here.
We can't stop it, though. I'm not in favour nor against immigration, I just accept it as fact and a worldwide issue that is only going to increase. Too much displacement in the world...much of it caused by us. In what way does immigration affect you personally?

Jesus they are even using the emergency alert as a conspiracy, went off in the pub I am in a few, whats this, I was never told , its another government conspiracy

Next May? It was 2027 the other day. I wish he’d make his fucking mind up.

What I do know is that you can get odds of 20-1 and 14-1 for a GE in 2026 and 2027 respectively so the bookies aren’t exactly buying into into it, but there’s good money to be made if he ends up being correct.

I think there he's referring to the local, Scottish and Senedd elections which are all May of next year. But he will no doubt continue to try and push a narrative for a 2027 GE especially if they do well in those 2026 elections.

I suspect he knows that the track record of Reform in power in councils will be a drag on any national campaign. So the strategy will be to try and maintain the current level of 'popularity', dismiss local failures as the product of broken central government that only he can fix and push for as early an election as possible in case people do actually wake up at some point to the fact that he represents elitist interests and voting Reform is basically meekly accepting your place in the world as fodder for the super rich.

I've noticed that you like to make things personal? I said I feel there are legitimate concerns and it would seem that you agree.

The only concerns I have is the rise of racism and fascism and how people are attempting to excuse it.....and it's just a question, some people don't like being asked that question, do they?
I'll re-word it: "in what way does immigration affect you or people you know, or just people around you in general?
