2025/26 NFL

They were going on during the Dallas game on Thursday night about how they've done something to the K balls this year. Made them harder or more shiny or something.

Anyway, they said to expect more 60 yarders and possibly even an attempt or two at the league record. 66 yards I think. Jackonsville kicked one from 70 yards the other week in pre-season.
Falcons missed an easy one on the last play that would have tied it. That after the bucs hit the post on an extra point.

Can’t tell whether Lions are shit without Campbell etc, Packers have gone up a level with Parsons or a bit of both.

Ah another season of the Falcons fucking themselves over every week, oh how I haven't missed this

San Francisco just missed one, 6 yards closer than a PAT.

Maybe this new ball, whist increasing distance is making accuracy a bit trickier?

They'll come up against better defences than Buffalo but Jesus, Lamar and Baltimore look unstoppable here.

Edit.

Josh Allen didn't end up looking too shabby either.

I almost turned that off when Buffalo were down 40-25 in the 4th!

Matt Prater with the walk off FG winner having been signed to practice squad on Thursday!

Go Bills!

Could be a good thing for viewers- maybe we see a lot more teams going for it on 4th+short

Slightly worrying from the Lions. Defensively got no pressure on Love in the first half and the game was done pretty much. Offensively really poor and the OL which has been so dominant in the last few years looked really weak. Early days and hopefully a combination of a strong Packers team and a wild crowd and so many new parts to the team.

One thing is for sure they need to improve quickly on that but that has been something Campbell has been good at, moving on quickly after defeats and bouncing back.

What an opening weekend. Watched Eagles/Cowboys, Steelers/Jets, went to bed thinking my Bills had lost another big head to head between superbowl contenders only to wake up to a hell of a comeback.

It's shaping up to be a great season.

Jets missed two 2-point conversions. Silly when there was still plenty of time on the clock.
My overall impression of the game was Jets the better team. A handful of crucial errors tipped the win to the steelers. But its classic Jets, I have a soft spot for them as they a bit city of the 90s. Just can't get a break.

I've been a steelers fan as well but I'm not a Rogers fan. He's been an arse since covid.

I've come to the conclusion I don't like any team enough to call myself a fan. I've got steelers merch and green bay merch (might as well have a half and half scarf). I like following the careers of players more. Justin Fields and Spence Rattler both in the league now having been on qb1. That was a great show. A must watch for any nfl fan, I will be following those 2 as much as any team.

I'd agree with that impression. Steelers were relatively poor defensively around the line of scrimmage, meaning the Jets' were able to use their running game very effectively, but they did some great work in the secondaries, particularly Ramsey right at the end.

Steelers never got their running game going and Rodgers and the receivers weren't always on the same wavelength, but when they did combine well they were very effective. And the two 2-point failures by the Jets were crucial in hindsight.

I've watched NFL since the earliest days it was on UK TV but never had a team I supported. When my son married a Pittsburgh girl, my allegiance was sealed.

Rattler was miles better than expected in the NO loss to ARI and the Saints D held up pretty well but stupid penalties and a typically ridiculous call cost us Who Dats and we lost a game we probably should have won against the f**cking Cardinals

To be fair, the first one was after a penalty and they went for it on the 1 yard line. I think that's a pretty standard tactic across the league at most stages of the game. They had also just missed the PAT before the penalty.

I see it’s on c5 but the thought of that dipper twat Quek and Dermot O Leary spouting nonsense about a game they know nothing about puts me off and I’ll be watching the US feed

Agree with the synopsis about Quek, but old diddly dermot played for 2 different American Football teams in the UK when younger, so his credentials are sound

City fan Aaron Rodgers starting for the Steelers. Seems like a risk but we'll see what he can do.

Update: Touchdown on the first drive. Nice.
I hate Rodgers.....

So much so i bought a Jets jersey with Judas's name on it last year.....might have to burn it now :)
