City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Just sounds like we have agreed we won’t challenge them anymore going forward.

I suppose people will say why? and think 115…but it is probably that we just think the current version is ok or are admitting that we can’t prove it’s unlawful.

Edit: After reading the article looks more like a win for City (again)

Monetary compensation plus approval of those sponsorships that were barred previously.
This is just my guess.

I would definitely hope the second point, the first would be a bonus really.

So.... If there's going to be no further statement, how will we work out what the outcome was? Compensation may be tricky to find in future accounts unless clearly noted, but we should be able to spot changes in sponsorship deals somewhere?

It is also understood that barriers to the Etihad deal have now been removed and that City are confident that they will not be treated differently to any other top-flight club going forward.
I take it weve been compensated for potential loss of earnings ?

Etihad sponsor want be assessed now I presume

Ostensibly this is completely separate from the 115 case, but I can't imagine we'd have agreed to drop it if we felt we were about to get fucked over on the 115.

As in we'd have continued this just to piss off the PL and some other clubs, with little else to benefit us?

Sounds like the original Etihad deal now goes through and we have more money or the PL will pay the difference in return for us dropping the charges.
