City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Ah ok, thank you. I don’t read the tabloids so haven’t seen anything else reported yet. Still seems a very clandestine statement from the club. I’d like to think they would be happy to release details on any victory against the PL after the years of shit we have taken.
Real gangsters dont gloat.

My god this is far too technical and sensible for me to understand. So are we going to have loads of money in January to spend on a right back? To keep the lunatics in the transfer forum happy.
We could have £2 billion to spend but we still won’t buy a right-back so I wouldn’t go getting your hopes up mate ;)

Wonder why he deleted it. Someone must’ve had a word surely?
Almost certainly imo. You don’t post something of that length and then almost immediately delete it without replacing it with something along similar lines, unless some pressure, or at the very least guidance has been brought to bear.

On the subject of 'What's the connection of all this to the bu115hit charges ?'

In monetary terms, the legitamcy of the Etihad sponsorship is around 90% of the whole shit show. Etisalat about 5% and Mancini and Image rights 5%. Fcuk non-coop charges, the only sanction allowable is a fine.

The worst APT scenario would have been the PL saying forget that Etihad renewal and we are not even going to waste our time with any FMV assessment because we have illegitimised it in the prosecution of the bu115hit. But the opposite has happened, the hugely upgraded renewal has been approved in its entirety. This must by implication mean 90% of 115
has failed. Given to this day we are also sponsored by Etisalat (rebranded e&), at the last home game it was screaming out from the pitch perimeter displays, we can be sure that sponsorship has not been illegitimised. So what's left ? a HMRC approved image rights scheme and Mancini, 2 payments of £1m quid in 2008 and 2009, years before the creation of FFP.

The baffling thing they dont seem to fathom is city have won 6 out of the last 8 pls so have been dominant in supposedly the biggest football league in the world, the press cant stop talking about us even tho its mostly negative its still city, city, city, we have one of the most recognised footballers in the world playing for us who is central to nike and beats global marketing campaigns in city blue not to mention one of the most recognised managers in the world banging our drum all the time, its hilarious how myopic football fans that they dont understand that global companies dont give a fuck what dave from barnsley thinks or what the daily mail says and that city are gigantic and talked about across the world and that has value across the board and if they are too stupid to see it then more fool them but that is why our ceo is doing trillion dollar deals with world superpowers and their co owner is firing janet the dinner lady to save a 100 quid a week, theres levels to this and they arent on ours.

100% correct. You don't have to click. And no; there'll be no "smarty pant" (haven't heard that expression in a long, long time) response. I will simply finish by saying that if it troubles you as much as it seems to do, report the issue. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Ok.
Didn't realise i had struck a nerve there.

The pants comment was meant in jest. Was something a primary teacher used to say to us, and for some reason it stuck over the years.

Maybe i should have finished with an LOL instead of FOMO ("fear of missing out", in case there was any confusion).

Either way, I'll leave well enough alone. No point in both of us being miffed at the other.
Enjoy the rest of your day as well, good sir.

Did City win ?
Did City lose ?
Does it matter ?

As long as City have achieved what the plan was then its a win for City. Do I see City backing down ? No. So its a win FOR City.
Now if it means the rules stay in place but it stops Newcastle and villa from spending big, so what. Yes villa have sort of supported City of late but Newcastle is think are there part of the hateful 8 ?.

Let these clubs fight their own battles instead of trying to piggy back on to our fight.

As long as City are happy with the out come I'm happy

Just a theory

If the premier league have agreed that Etihad can raise there sponsorship and they can not wave it through FMV because of other clubs then the only option is to say it is not an APT and therefore doesn’t need FMV assessment. If they are doing that then how can they claim that Etihad deal wasn’t all paid properly in the 115 only a APT or related party would help a club out that much.

So are we left with Mancini and none cooperation ? Or nothing ?

We need to play Talksport Bingo today just to see how many snide remarks they can get in before they burst into tears.
Hope Stefan makes the point that we could be seeing the biggest sponsorship deal in city's history.

Not just the biggest sponsorship in City's history but the biggest sponsorship deal ever in English football history

Been saying this for years people give our press/media to much credit. Big companies arent bothered about what no mark journalists in the UK writes
