City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Not sure what more I can do then. I support City, I do not believe we are hard done to by refs (anymore)
The OP claims we always get shafted by refs and we are treated unfairly. I disagree, whilst also stating that if you spoke to any fan, of any club they will tell you the same about their club. So apparently every ref has it in for every club. Funny that

You stated there isn’t any supporter then named a supporter ….. you.

kind of feel the same. sometimes we get shafted, sometimes we get lucky.

i don't believe it evens out, because the sample set is too small but also i don't believe its deliberate.

we focus on the decisions that go against us or for our rivals. similarly our rivals focus on when we get lucky and when they get wronged.

even with a single simple decision both teams involved often see it differently.

Every fan can list the one's that went against their club

empirical evidence states that decisions not given for city are given for other clubs, thats not a conspiracy theory that is a statement of fact, if you want evidence of that you only have to look at this season, oscar bobbs foot stamped on by spurs player completely ignored and we play on, chelsea players foot stamped on by fulham player penalty given and even worse chelsea players foot stamped on by fulham player in completely natural act, goal disallowed for fulham.

I know it is de rigeur for people who support the refs to say there is no conspiracy theory and it all equals out in the end but the reality is that is just not the case and it is a statement of fact that certain teams are reffed differently than others and there is any number of incidents to prove that as shown above.

He isn’t having a go. He’s just pointing out the very obvious contradiction in your statement.

was a rule amended? or just the judgement on a single sponsorship case? genuinely asking, i dont know
The owner interest free loans rule was changed (albeit not backdated). The rules relating to FMV have been deemed illegal & changes were made. Nothing published yet though

Agreed! The refs are dreadful, but they've never been any good. Keith Hackett pops up now as a sage old ref, but he was useless!

For every howler that's gone against us remember there's that wierd Sterling offside goal against Watford which helped us nip Liverpool to the title or Aguero's offside goal against Swansea in the FA Cup.

They go for and against us (like any other club), but that doesn't mean it evens itself up over the season, it's a distortion. Then so is the weather, injuries and suspensions, extra matches and recovery time. It's daft to highlight one thing whilst ignoring all the others.

The best referees are the ones who you don't notice.

Nobody is suggesting City lied. Read the actual words - usually carefully chosen. So if one party says something definitively it is usually true. But City have spoken in vague “expectations” and “confident now that going forward”. Somethings are PR fluff and somethings are press briefings.

And I have agreed City got something to settle but as you will recall, I’d always been of the view APT2 was nothing more than City toying with RM and the PL and that it wasn’t part of some critical grand plan and nor were City really suggesting we needed to go back and redo 5 years of PSR adjusting for loan interest. I also never believed the deep interaction theory between 115 and APT. Personally, think that reading is even more likely now but we will never know.
I always defer to your superior knowledge on all matters re football finance and legislation. But I'm baffled by your assertions re APT and 115. The only difference is 115 was a retrospective attempt to illegitimise the Etihad sponsorship and APT is an attempt to illegitimise or throttle any future Etihad sponsorship. It's the PL strategy, as Masters has stated in public, he believes Etihad and City are part of a 'regime', and regimes come and go. He believes that constantly attacking the Etihad sponsorship will make the 'regime' go away. I don't see why you don't also see the 'deep interaction' (nice phrase btw).
