Match Result Prediction?

This derby has a very weird feeling about it. I'm sure we have the quality, somewhere, but it's the attitude and personality on the pitch that is missing. Going to need to be dragged through this one to get a result. What would we give for Josko back and fit.

I predict a poor game all round with a controversial goal given, likely against us. I just hope that Pep and the players have other plans, our season desperately needs launching.

Good news is that Rodri should feature, but we need to find that creative balance alongside him now. Who is sliding that ball through for one of our forwards?

Possibly an oddity also on that both Manchester clubs could hand debuts to goalkeepers on a derby, not sure that'll have happened for a very long time?

And that's still hoping Gvardiol and Foden are fit.

I think Ric suggested something similar last week.

Could go more defensive and replace Bobb but I think we need some creativity out there.

The quality of most games involving the rags are of a poor quality due in the main to their pitiful and cowardly approach allied to their appalling level of ability.

It is clearly going to be reliant upon City to provide the positivity, speed and skill in the game in order to keep from reducing the game to another drudge game where they set out to simply avoid defeat as their prime motive.

They have enjoyed too many games where the gulf in quality has been nullified by their dire lack of ambition.

No doubt by Sunday ill be buzzing for the day, just hope we find some form and the 2 week break has done us some good. Key is going to be Peps presser on Friday and getting an update on injuries. Feel completely the same. For the first time in over a decade I feel the quality difference in the two sides is minimal. They also raise themselves at our place too, think this season could get worse before it gets better.
 
Pep will approach it like the derby a few months ago.

Just don't lose, take the 0-0.

I think he will know deep down we could be in for a battering against Arsenal so a point will be decent.

Just talking like this goes to show how far we have fallen off.

Or perhaps just your expectations which have changed ?
 
I don't like Derby day, but the injuries, lack of grit and team cohesion, I would be happy with a draw.

However I'm sure Alty Taylor has other plans.

I'm fed up of flecking injuries though, it's like this every season for the last 8 years and can't be down to bad luck.

I won't blame training because I don't think the team do enough.

Let's get this next 10 days over, I'm not feeling particularly hopeful of any decent outcomes! I would, however love to be proved totally wrong!!
 
I hate this week.

First we'll have Pep talking about united all week like its 1999 and how they are an unstoppable force, an immovable object deserving our utmost respect and gratitude

then the game comes and we play like assholes and they'll score a wonder goal or get a dodgy decision, or we just flat out fall apart in the second half, which has happened far far too often in recent years

I hate this week
 
My biggest concern going into this game is the way they set up with Mbueno and Cunha (if fit) is our kryptonite.

Pep is insistent on playing one of the highest lines in the league with the slowest CB pairing in the league. It wouldn't be as bad if they were getting covered from the full backs but Nunes and Ait Nouri are doing them no favours at all.

Our best bet would be to play 3-5-2 . Completely suffocate their counter attack and hopefully we'll have enough going forward to get a couple of goals.

Not the most inspiring team but should be enough to get the job done. Can bring Doku on for silva if we're chasing the game.
