There's a piece of puffery on the BBC website that essentiallly delves into some insignificant details but comes out with the premise that the reason the Rags are not top of the pile is that they haven't scored enough and conceded too many! That's the same reason why dozens of other teams haven't won the title. Who writes this bullshine?
Is Slimy Stone the author?

Ah, but they've had more shots on goal in the last ten games than anyone. The RDAHMeedya are choking that they haven't got anyone who can convert them.
You would think by now, that the media would have given up all hope on the rags.

I mean come on.... there's flogging a dead horse and there's digging it up to flog it some more.

Surly there's no money in it for the media anymore. Most of the rags that I know, have lost interest in all things football.

Who exactly is it that the media are pandering to? I would imagine most of their plastic fanbase in the Philippines and Asia, have cottoned on to the fact that the rags are finished.

The rags up to their old tricks again after delaying the publication of the match attendance v Burnley, when it was obvious from the TV coverage that the stand opposite the cameras wasn't entirely full.

This happened after all their home games in the early stages of the Europa League and domestic cups last season

Today (when they think everyone's forgotten) they suddenly announce an attendance that was amazingly bigger than the stadium capacity.

Have to imagine their plan for redevelopment is not going well

Scruffy quoted “We have stopped investing in Britain. Our future investment will not be [in] the UK. There's no question of that," he said.”
I think so. Sounds like a threat. Think he did similar in Switzerland to get his team a ground, but we're a lot more skint than Switzerland!

I would have thought that the scribes of this fantasy island material were on all kinds of hospitality freebies if they continue to write all manner of puffery, no matter how far removed from reality it is.

We're a lot more cynical than them too.

It'll be a big ask of him, to get public funding for their big top.

I can see him moving on in a couple of years.

Wouldn't it be ironic if it ends up Scruffy Jim being the one, who gets bored of his new play thing.

Now Burnhams got his shiny toy to play with - £2.5B from the gvmt he will be less interested in the Rags. That said where will the gvmt magic the money from?

I imagine it will be from the HS2 not getting north of Birmingham savings acct.
This will probably be scrapped once the govt changes or the headline is in the rear view mirror
