Just rehearsing his delivery on how it’s going to be a difficult game against a top manager and top team?
Do we get fined for the Manager appearing late at the Press Conferences the same as getting fined for coming back late after half time? At this rate we should. No wonder the press don't like us. Making the wait around for nearly half an hour.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on the forum, so apologies if it’s in the wrong place.

I’m coming over from Finland with my son for our very first Manchester derby this Sunday. I’ve actually been to the Etihad once before (back in 2013 when we beat Norwich 7–0) so I don’t think we’ll be bringing any bad luck this time either!

That 2013 visit was very short, but now we’ve got a bit more time (Sat morning to Mon evening) to enjoy both the match and the city. I’ve done a bit of research on the sights already, but any extra tips on football-related stuff or the city itself would be much appreciated, good pubs, “must-see” places, things we shouldn’t miss.

Our seats are in Block 303, so we’re looking forward to seeing the match from up there. We’re really excited and will be cheering loudly for a City win!
Welcome. I hope you bring us good luck.

If you want to get the bus to the ground it's no. 216 and leaves from Piccadilly Gardens near a Morrisons Supermarket.

Things to see in Manchester: the skyscrapers which are at the South End of Deansgate. I also like John Rylands Library on Deansgate which you can walk around on a Saturday. It is also close to St Peters Square and Albert Square where the old Town Hall building is. The Town Hall is being renovated so you cannot see it but the square is worth visiting. I also like the River Irwell which runs through the City and divides Manchester from Salford. There are a few bridges from which you can view it.

There is also the Manchester Museum on the University of Manchester campus which is a nice place to visit. You might need to get a bus down Oxford Rd to visit there. It will have a website if you are interested. Oxford Rd Station, is near the location of 'Little Ireland' which was the area of old slum housing the Irish immigrant community. Oxford Rd and Deansgate are all close to St Peters Square and Albert Sq, and the Exhibition centre which was once a mainline railway station.

The weather is fine now but probably we will have rain showers soon.

That's good news on the injuries. We have a number of short term injuries but nothing long term (Cherki should be back in about 6 weeks according to previous reports).

Well that was short and sweet. About 11 minutes after waiting 27 minutes for him.

Maybe it's me but I like punctuality. Ok I'm an old fashioned person but if you make an appointment you should at least try and appear on time. :-)

Maybe that's what's wrong with the team this season. They are not concerned about turning up on time and are just lackadaisical.
They have no hunger or motivation.

Sorry to disagree with you @Goater101 that was not the impression I got from Pep today. He seemed bored and shrugged his shoulders a lot.

Even when they asked him about Slotty saying that Isak one was the best in the world and Pep did perk up a teensy bit all he did was shrug his shoulders again and say Erling is better.

I was disappointed. Maybe I'd be better off not watching his Press Conference in future? :-) ;-) :-(

No bigging up of the rags, understands how it is an important match for the fans as well as the team. Gave Slots comment about Isaak being the best striker in the world the response it deserved. Looks like Gigio will start Sunday given the comments about his impressive training. Wants to stay more than ever to correct last season. I don’t think he’s going anywhere any time soon. He was an upbeat mood, and the ‘winks’ are back.

I don’t blame Pep for keeping Sly waiting especially if he has more important team or club matters to deal with. You’re being nowty cos he only mentioned John Boy as an afterthought. 11 mins was when Sly cut it off wasn’t it?

Win or lose I think just depends on our finishing. Almost conceivable that we will concede, no proper LB or RB for this game and out of form CBs. Plus the Taylor “penalty” joker card that probably will be played at some point.

We took our chances at Wolves but failed to do so v Spurs and Brighton and I feel we just do not have much in the way of a reliable scoring threat throughout our team bar Haaland

So Foden and Josko fit also? If so that’s great news
Think there is a distinct difference between not injured and fit. Pep will only ever tell us who is injured. Both those have been seen in training but doesnt automatically mean they're fit to be involved (hopefully they are)

I was on the OS site so have no idea what SKY did. :-)

I was just disappointed because I have this abhorrence of people being late for appointments. It wasn't only SKY he kept waiting.
If it had been just SKY I wouldn't have been bothered but there were reporters from everywhere surely?
To be late is to intimate that people's time is not important only your time (i.e. Pep) and much as I love Pep that is disrespectful. Sorry @BringBackSwales as I say just a personal bugbear of mine. :-)
