Advantage city. I’d honestly spend the whole game just crossing it into the box. Then again Haaland can’t head the ball properly…
So would I. He could hold some width whip in a few crosses and provide a contrast with Bobb.If he is I’d play him on the left and Bobb on the right
Cometh the hour, cometh the man.....lol.
I wonder whether Pep takes his boots along to matches - I mean it would hardly be much more of a stretch, would it?
You can hear them now "Ipswich reject, Ipswich reject..."
Still, an open mind, new season and all that - Pep must have seen something in training?
He did look really good against Moldova the other night though, both in the air, and in his movement and finishing .... set at least one goal up, and scored five himself ...... Norway clearly play to his strengths, and we need to do exactly the same!
Not in a PL game but I’d try him at fullback surely defensively he is better than Nunes and Rico The guy was England player of the season when we bought him! That would surely be an option and last chance?I remember him having a half decent game pre season a couple of years ago, at center half I think. His distribution was a bit off but he covered well. Since then wherever he has gone on loan he has been hit by injuries. I doubt we will see much of him but who knows?
To be honest, at the time I thought that he'd have been a pretty good shoe-in for Fernandinho (although I'd have far preferred Ngolo Kante). He was steady as a rock for Leeds.I remember him having a half decent game pre season a couple of years ago, at center half I think. His distribution was a bit off but he covered well. I remember this game too against Barcelona. I thought it could have been a new start for him because he played well from what I remember.I remember him having a half decent game pre season a couple of years ago, at center half I think. Teams playing Norway probably don’t set up in a low block though, teams often intend to play us that way and train in the low block days before a game rather than we force them into it.Yeah, fine Moldova aren't great but Norway seemed to be able to break against them rather than force them into a low block. They used all of Haalands attributes and he took his goals really well irrespective of the opposition. Bobb found him well when he came on. He needs to start with Erling on Sunday.
Bayindir starts for them. Hes dog shit. Cat shit even.
I think Onana played against us twice last season and he's bloody awful. But our magnificent team managed a single goal in 180 minutes.Bayindir was always their likely starter but I am surprised that Amorim has made this known. Pep could alter his selection and tactics to target Bayindir
We have used teams using a low block as an excuse for 2 season, we get it happencto. us more , it's about time we adapted to break it or play through it not try to out pass it.Teams playing Norway probably don’t set up in a low block though, teams often intend to play us that way and train in the low block days before a game rather than we force them into it.
Not saying we don’t have to find a way through it, and we probably will, like we have previously. That doesn’t change the fact that we can’t give Haaland the same freedom he gets with Norway and probably got with Dortmund, and they come to low block because we’d batter them if they didn’t, rather than we force them to.We have used teams using a low block as an excuse for 2 season, we get it happencto. us more , it's about time we adapted to break it or play through it not try to out pass it.
There are promising signs we will with the new playres who if given the opportunity seem to like to put balls over onto a running bobb or haaland to latch onto, rather than the attempt to thread a pass through 3 defenders and hit a wall

Your first line shows modern football up for the basket case it is.Think we now have 7 games in the next 22 days or something similarly stupid. And an already injury ravaged squad. I know we will pretend to take one game at a time but there’s no way Pep won’t have an eye on the Napoli and Arsenal games
A big win on Sunday would be a massive boost ahead of a busy schedule. A defeat and I dread to think what kind of psychological impact that would have, there would be plenty ready to stick the boot in
Just fucking win at all costs blues. Not overly bothered about performance …would take a scruffy win and three points all day
