Completely agree, there's a lot of focus on how bad united are but if we lose this then we will most probably be on 3 points out of 5 games and they will be on 6-9 points.I remember Bayindir having a superb game at Arsenal in a cup game last season. He isn't as bad as many assume (wishful thinking). Also, there's no path for United leading to a relegation battle. That's wishful thinking as well.

I enjoyed the press conference. Pep was in good form. However his maths is a bit dodgy. He named Kova, Cherki, Marmoush and AN as absent then went on to say he only had 16 available to him. Hmmmmm. If thats the case he must consider some that are not injured not fit enough to play.

I doubt Pep's confidence is related to Stones at all. More likely it is related to us having the likes of Donna, Gvardiol, Rodri and Haaland in the team: a world-class spine that.
Like Ake, Stones hasn't been great since 2023 with rare exceptions. I read somewhere that he has changed some things in training and preparing for games to avoid injuries. If that helps and he regains his form from the 2nd half of 22/23, that would be fantastic.
I'm going off him speaking about the injuries and Stones in particular in the press conference. First he forgets Stones is on the injury list and then he says he's a doubt. I could be wrong like!
