I’m going to keep banging my drum on this issue, I’ve been saying it for years … penalties for handball are fucking stupid. It leads to more totally unjustified highway robbery goals than any other law.

The penalty is so disproportionate to the crime it’s actually absurd.

Tbh it doesn’t hurt as much as it would have done as I don’t think we are actually capable of competing for the title but it still fucking annoying.

Got in the ground just in time to see the dipper goal. Hope that's the worst part of my day. Of course it's tremendous luck but you have to force it. dippers bombard teams until they cave in under the weight and thats something we do not do, we will just continue to play the same football that hasnt worked all game and so get far fewer late points. It's a skill and unfortunately the dippers are very good at it.

Aye, we always used to get stronger as the game went on. In recent weeks and last season it felt like the longer the game goes on, the worse we become.

Problem is Arsenal keep shitting themselves near the finish line. Arteta loses his head.

I think their squad is deeper now than it had been but their manager can't keep them steady when they're close. Let's see if it changes.

Liverpool have the mentality and grind out results.

Liverpool now have that thing we had but no longer have. No matter what the score is, you still can't see them not getting the result. We had that a couple of years ago for a few years. It's really hard to derail a team when they have this mentality.

TBF. If you look at crosses, shots touches in the opponents area over the past 5 years compared to number of penalties awarded I think you would notice a fair bit of disparity between us and them. Same with Utd. Can’t be a coincidence.

No; Arsenal don't have the mentality. Witness the last three seasons. I was hoping that Chelsea would provide a decent challenge, but they looked very underwhelming last night.

We had that about us a few years ago. Especially Pep's first great side. We ground teams down and kept pressing and that's what can happen. Creates a psychological advantage over opponents and a fear factor.
