I don’t like them but how can you ban them? People will always find a way if there are people who will buy them. Do I can’t vote for something impossible.
Its made clear that anyone wearing one will not be allowed entrance, lots of things are banned successfully Anyone sneaking one in and then displaying it will be evicted Also could stop the sellers being on the campus and the fact that they are banned would mean there would be little business for them

I really am a paid up member of the FOC club. I go to watch a match, enjoy the football, have a beer or two with friends and discuss the game , win or lose. Never really take any notice of other people, what they wear, where they sit, what they say unless they infringe on my enjoyment of the reason I am there. Can someone please tell me what me and my mates are doing wrong;-)

There are searches before stadium entry where people are asked to unzip their coats… anyone attempting to enter the home stands with away colours on should be refused entry.

It would stop it dead, nobody would buy one after a while of knowing that’s the rule.

Nobody would be allowed in wearing the shirt of the opposition (and bar staff lose their jobs for doing so), so why should anyone be allowed entry to the home stands wearing a scarf with opposition colours on?

Going in the home end with away colours should quite simply be a fuck around and find out moment, idiots shouldnt have to be protected from themselves, just like that dickhead behind the bar trying to go viral, stop Sympathising with idiots seeking attention and to go viral or whatever and it will sort itself out.

They could all go into bins at the turnstiles and then brought into the centre circle at half time and be set on fire. Any drums or musical instruments could be burnt too.

Much better than listening to Danzone Fanny and Nat Pike waffling on.

They are an abomination. How the fuck can you claim to be a City fan and then wear a scarf with another team all over it. I remember the 2011 final when they gave out half and half flags, we ripped the Stoke half off. They and the tax dodging sellers that are all over the place need fucking off. If you want a memento of the game, buy a programme!
The fact that they are being worn shows they aren’t proper fans and shows that there are a great many non-City fans in attendance in the home stands.

After Liverpool beat us at home last season, all around ESL1, half’n’half wankers were having pictures taken while holding the Liverpool half of their scarf up with the Liverpool away end in the background and big smiles on their faces. It wasn’t just one or two, there were loads of them.

I bought one on the way out of the ground after 1-6 at Old Scaffold. I was a bit giddy. But I obviously never wore it. It’s still in the attic.

I’d still ban them.
You should get the Mrs to sow on 1-6, that'll give it a whole different look and meaning. Still ban them though.

Can I go against the grain here?

I bought one for my daughters first champions league game. She was 8. It's in her memory box.

So I would say that's a fair use?
That's a fair use, like you say it's a memento for your daughter, but seeing grown men wear them at pretty much every home game is wrong

I want to like this 1,000 times!

The scarf sellers at the top of the tram stop steps often get in the way, are aggressive in their sales technique, and the club needs to eject them off their property.

The youngsters like a half and half scarf. It reminds them of the matches they go to. When I was attending the European Away games I always brought a half and half scarf back for the young son of a friend. He was always thrilled to bits and had a display in his bedroom.

Live and let live is my philosophy. I’m there for the football not the fashion stakes (as anyone who has seen my attire at matches can testify!) ;-) :-)

Shit loads of tourists wearing them in 93:20 for the derby.

Don't ban the scarfs, ban the twats that wear them.
If they are in the City end they should wear City scarves to avoid any confusion. The only alternative would be for City to open a neutral section as some clubs do, for example the Camp Nou. I dont have a problem with tourists but hate the half and half scarves.

I think all fans should be made to wear them. There should be no crowd segregation. We should all intermingle and shout and cheer equally for both teams, especially at the derby. After all we're all from Manchester.

Does this mean I can't wear my Napoli friendship scarf bought in the club shop as part of its officially licensed UCL range?

I bought one for my mum when she couldn't make the real Madrid semi first time round. In a rare occurrence it's a great souvenir. Wouldn't have bought one if it was scousers or United tho lol
