Need to up our performance again to get anything here. Piss take how they have two more days to prepare for this. Hopefully no Saka or Odegaard for them but I'm expecting them to make miraculous recoveries. Would take a boring 0-0 right now
 
I’d like us to go there and give them a proper match and not capitulate, basically demonstrate we’ve turned a corner whatever the result as I fear this game has come a little early for us. They are a very good team, with the best defence and a new sense of attacking rigour with Eze (who enjoys playing against us) and Madueki.

Still, we have Phil and Haaland playing well and those lads can win any game !
 
Arteta made an interesting point, drawn from rugby union, about having starters and finishers and how those who close out the game can be just as important, if not more so, than those who start. Because of our particular circumstances, no pre-season, injuries, transfer window, we are currently almost entirely dependent on our starters. The closing twenty minutes might be telling.
 
Our team is about as tall as Arsenal's. Will be interesting to watch the set pieces for both sides on Sunday. We are going to be much more dangerous on set pieces this season.
 
I pretty much would stick with the same team. Although Silva might be replaced with Doku on the right and Sav on the left.
But no changes to keeper, back 4 or midfield please Peppy..
 
The main problem with Arsenal is there aggressiveness which they get away with and the diving moaning all game

Same starting 11, A squad for arse.

B squad for Hudds.

Mixed A & B squad for Burnley
 
Big test for the team to show if we are going to be a contender this season or not.
Winning against an awful rags side and a Napoli with 10 men for 70+ mins might not say much about how good we are but hopefully it brings some momentum and confidence to the team which was desperately needed.

This team has in the last year given me many, many reasons expect disappointment in a game like this, but I will obviously hope for the best!

We aren’t ready for Arsenal yet so I can only envisage a defeat. It’s strange going into a match with not much expectation…..will make any victory more meaningful.

We’ve done well v Napoli and United but Arsenal away is one of the hardest games in World football right now. I don’t think you would get a 50% City win prediction anywhere other than a city forum!

2-0 Arsenal unfortunately. If somehow we win my expectations for the season will be through the roof.
