Season ticket holders non attenders numbers

Not according to the article.
Fair enough but look closely at the picture. Claims to be in the South stand but that picture was taken in the North stand otherwise he would have been stood up amongst the Rag Vermin not sat down as shown.

The BBC lying surely not!

I honestly don’t know how some mange to attend all the games.

Unless you are single or retired getting to games regularly has to be a challenge for most people with normal family/life getting in the way.

Also anyone’s guess when games will be on with all the shuffling of fixtures to suit television rights. How many 3pm Saturday kick offs are likely this season?

I think it’s just an error on one of the photo captions that says South instead of North.

That’s how I feel about those that do aways on top. I did all the home games for the last few seasons (but only a handful of aways) and have had to take a break this season due to other family commitments but I am looking forward to a bit of a rest.

I’ll be back when I retire though (FOC rates dependant).

Over the years a lot of season ticket holders have moved out of Manchester and getting to a midweek game must be awkward. I think it's good that other supporters get the opportunity to go to the game with City's support best reflecting the community from which it is based best in midweek Cup games.
Marvin, what has your post got to do with the bbc article ?

Tickets, in vast numbers, are going to online touts. Meanwhile the club makes it harder than ever for loyal Blues to pass the odd ticket on to a mate.

I used to organise my holidays around the fixtures but gave up about 4 years ago. Constant changing of dates and times eventually got to me, so now I just put them up for resale with the Club.

Got in about quarter to 1. Knackered this morning but wouldn’t have missed the game.

I organised tickets and a lift for a young family of Blues. It’s far better that we have Blues in the ground who really want to be there.

It’s better than a lot of season card holders stay at home if they aren’t going to get behind the lads.!

We established last season that a lot of flexi-golders go to more games than season card holders. It is what it is.

Hate the BBC but just wondering whether the issue they’ve highlighted re rogue ticket sites is why City are tightening up on ST use. It really affects me as my son lives in London now & has had his ST for 25 years but can’t use it 10 times. We don’t want to lose it but it could be that STs are being bought solely to sell on??
I haven’t got the answer but it seems all clubs are experiencing the problem & are tackling it in similar ways.

this isn’t meant as a go at any fans organisation- it’s just a thought

I wonder if the bbc could explain to me what the difference between an online official ticket re-seller and an online unofficial re-seller is.
Neither vet who the ticket is going to.
Neither sell at face value

It surely can't just be down to how much money Premier League clubs get paid.......could it ?

Why no mention of how much Viagogo were charging people for the derby.
I wonder if PL clubs asked the bbc to do this investigation as its hurting their margins.

I don't think so.
City should make it easier for your son to pass his ticket onto a mate not harder.

Agreed but I do think behind the scenes, the club are trying to tackle a huge ticketing issue which is invading the PL
There are Blues who sell their tickets on to touting agencies just like there are at virtually every top flight club. The clubs are probably the bigger culprits. It’s rife at Liverpool and the rags and Tod Boehly has made several businesses by exploiting ticket reselling.

It’s been like that for at least 50 years. The recently deceased Quality Street Gang member, Jimmy the Weed, talks of bundles of many hundreds of tickets received from the rags and only 11k of tickets for Utd’s cup finals in the late 70s were sold directly to fans.

The masses of genuine fans are getting penalised partly because of this and the club’s eagerness to maximise income.

So Dan Roan was in the South Stand for the derby and nobody recognised him and took appropriate action? Wake up blues!
Goes in via entrance Y , NW of the ground near the barrier to the building work. Then filmed near 034/032 which is that corner too. So was either NS or CB.

A problem they could easily fix by not getting in bed with resale sites and issuing more season tickets to local fans.
Possibly but I doubt it’s that simple because it appears to be that all clubs are affected. According to bbc reports, clubs they investigated are not purposely selling to these rogue sites The investigation will hopefully identify how it’s happening.

Hopefully this BBC report will make everyone think again but I do think the clubs want ST holders to go to most matches rather than use their ticket only when they can. Not sure what the answer is. I put my sons on ticket exchange most weeks which from a club’s point of view means I’m not selling it on the tout market

Nothing. Does it have to be. This topic is about non-attending seasoncard holders.
