I didn't want to come across as patronising.
At the same time, you originally - and still - misinterpret what I've posted.
Mbappe - for example - is world class.
Neymar was world class.
And even a declining Messi was world class.
Enter Enrique - and all of them are gone.
Why? - Because they don't fit how Enrique wants to play.
Haaland is a much better fit for sure for how Enrique wants to play than Mbappe/Neymar/Messi - because he has far less ego that the three I've mentioned and will do his best to play as the manager wants.
But so too Donnarumma - no ego, great at what he does - but not quite a fit for how Enrique wants to play.
Yes - Enrique for sure could accommodate Haaland - but if offered the choice between Haaland and Dembele - Enrique would choose Dembele 100%.
And so too Donnarumma - Donnarumma arguably won PSG the C/L due to his performance in goal - but he's out of the side. Wage demands are probably a factor - but so too is style - Enrique wants ball control - and Donnarumma's strength is not in this department.
Somehow you've interpreted my post as stating that Enrique wouldn't work with Haaland if he were in his side - which is not at all what I've posted.
What I've posted is that given the choice between having Haaland or Dembele in his side, Enrique would choose Dembele - because Dembele is a better fit for his style of play.
None of Messi, Neymar or Mbappe left because Enrique decided they didn’t fit his style.
That is a pure revisionism to fit a narrative.
Neither did Donnarumma.
And if you want evidence of wages being more than ‘probably a factor’ in his case, then read Luis Campos’ interview only last week, which clearly sets out the circumstances of his departure.
They all left to access the kind of money PSG simply weren’t willing to offer anymore.
This wasn’t some purist Enrique-heralded idealism around playing style - it was about PSG moving away from being the kind of absurdist, overpaying holiday resort for Galacticos that only Madrid have ever really made work.
All the players you list left because of the money.
Mbappe leaving for Real Madrid was pretty much an annual psychodrama at PSG, with them having to continuously offer him more and more fantastical concessions to convince him to stay.
Until they had nowhere to go, and his contract finally expired - so he got his wish.
And a colossal signing on fee to boot.
Messi never settled at PSG (he was only there two seasons) and was seduced by being the face of Inter Miami.
And a wage PSG weren’t interested in paying him anymore.
Neymar…………..I mean, that guy had completely squandered his talent by the time he left, and PSG were desperate to get his eye-watering wages off the books.
None of this makes for a great analysis video, granted - where bedroom fantasists like to paint football as some sort of utopian playground for tactical boffins and hipsters to dream up the next great stylistic innovation for the game, and where club owners are enablers of these innovators, purely in it for the buzz of creating something timeless - but it happens to be true.
PSG stopped paying Galactico wages, so lost all their Galactico players.
It’s as simple as that.
