To say Everton and Moyes are due one is an understatement. Everton haven’t beaten Lpool at Anfield in front of a crowd this century, and Moyes has never beaten Lpool at Anfield with any team he’s managed.
Sounds not too dissimilar to a club we all love mate, lol

Our record at Anfield is ridiculous: just 15 wins there in 97 games, and only 3 wins there in 61 games since 1956.

Talk about a club cultural mentality issue with travelling to that stadium.

Think this game will show where we are at present and that is a step below the top.

hoping for a win, would take a draw now, suspect it will be a loss

If Arsenal cant beat us at the moment then there are some huge questions that Arteta should be asked after the investment in that squad and the players he has available to him.

I think we will get done in midfield as well as struggle to create against them.

Glad we’re going into this with a bit more confidence after United and Napoli, but suspect this might be a game too far. Important not to overreact if we do lose, as there will be ups and downs as we’re a team in transition, whereas they’re far more settled. Hopefully we can at least put up more of a fight than last season!

Hoping Rodri can start, although 3 games in 7 days might be pushing it. If so, I’d probably stick with the same starting XI again.
The rags on this forum will go crazy if we lose.

There are good signs for City already. Foden looks like his normal self. Doku has stepped up a level. Khusanov's pace is proving useful. I think Arsenal are close to their peak as a team, and they are one of the strongest sides in Europe at this moment. We may lose but City seem to me to be heading in the right direction again.

I actually feel quite confident about this.

But it might be because I just find Arsenal really boring to watch. I know they are a very effective team, just nothing they do strikes fear into you.
Their physical power is formidable. I am glad Donnarumma is in goal but even he is going to find their set pieces difficult.

With Khusanov, O'Reilly, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri and Haaland (plus Donnarumma) I feel like we're one of the sides best equipped to deal with their aerial threat on set pieces.

Would be good if Stones was fit as he and Gvardiol win more aerial duels than any of our other centre backs.

Only if you are trying to create excuses before the start of the match - shows fear as well
I don't see anything wrong in acknowledging the strength of Arsenal. Arsenal are spending £200m per window and sooner or later they will win the title. IMO City are in transition and behind Liverpool and Arsenal at the moment but City seem to be much stronger than last season. Our physicality is better, and important players like Foden and Rodri are back. City can challenge for the title this season if players like Reijnders settle down, and Doku maintains his brilliant early season form.

I never fear any of the red clad teams in England. Maybe Madrid a little bit, I don't fear any of the teams in England.
I fear Liverpool and Arsenal. They are 2 very strong sides and City are re-building. What we can say though is that the rebuilding looks very hopeful. We have young player like Foden, Doku, Khusanov and Haaland who can become the best players in their positions in the Premier League. Add Cherki, Bobb, O'Reilly, Reijnders, and I can only see improvement.

Second toughest game of the season in the league. I’d take a draw tbh. Doubt we’ll even get that but would be great if we could somehow get a win then the confidence that should instil for the season would be amazing.

……………Donnarumma
Khusanov….Dias…..Gvardiol….O’Reilly (Ait-Nouri if fit)
…………Rodri…..Gonzalez
…Foden…..Reijnders………..Doku
….…………Haaland

He was talking about the ref

I agree with everything you say but I think we are ultimately a step below where we need to be to challenge....moving int heright direction but I think the title is between Arsenal and Scousers this season....

Infact if Arsenal dont win it this season then Im not sure what happens to them.....Scousers have invested massively but so have Arsenal and its arguable that they have a slightly more stable team (VVD and Salah for instance at the wrong end of their careers)
