Not sure sending Phil into exile on the wing works. He is first and foremost a central player. He scored on Sunday from this position and a lot of his goals are scored from central positions. I would go Rodri, Kovacic and Foden.

Rjeinders needs to cement his place on form - at the moment he is the most out of form player amongst the starters but also has the least premier league experience. He should be sidelined until an injury and / or he shows better form. If Kovacic comes back, Phil needs to start and be in the middle on current form and past performance.

Well that’s very nice to someone who followed City and dedicated time and money to the club as a third generation fan for over 60 years, with two more following me, In comparison to a man who has had one good spell and numerous injuries paid many 10s of thousands of pounds as well

Rodri cannot possibly play every minute of every game. I regard Kovacic as our best alternative to Rodri, and I am sure they can play together too.
