Napoli (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

This . I'm off to watch Napoli in the October international break . Will be taking our KDB banner .

DOI . Mum was born in Naples .

I think thats as good an excuse as any to buy a Napoli shirt if your mum was born there. We loved Italy and thought the people were fantastic. We had been to Rome and Venice before but on these two trips we felt we really got to know the people better and the culture and even learnt a little of the language. The first trip was to visit Naples, Pompei, Herculaneum, Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano. We stayed in a village outside of Sorrento on a mountain called Sant' Agata Sui De Golfi and got to know many of the locals in the bars. A beautiful place and the procession for the Feast of San Francesco Di Paola on Good Friday evening through the village was something I will never forget. The second trip was for a concert at the Roman Amphitheatre at Pompei where we stayed for 3 days and again a concert that was a unique one off opportunity and something that will live with me forever. It's a great opportunity for Kevin to end his career spending time there.

I thought you were great. Wasn't impressed by how many had fucked off, before the final whistle.

Sounds fantastic . I've only ever stayed in the city and hope to get to Herculaneum or Pompei on this trip. My lad is planning to get a shirt but I'm more of a discrete enamel badge sort of woman myself .

I still don't get the fact some people think it shouldn't be a red when it's genuine attempt to get the ball???
It does seem harsh when it's a desperate attempt to play the ball if he misses I think a yellow and a penalty for the dogso would be better for the overall game.i.e. Even if the foul is outside the area the dogso triggers a pen.

I couldn't believe what I was watching. But, that's just me. After a CL win, I think staying and cheering, that should be kinda given.

Maybe too many forgot what it was like to be only able to dream of nights like that.
I have a season ticket and very few regulars go in their usual seats, most do seem to be blues but it's a different type, nothing like say the derby or a top league game, although getting better.

It doesn't look great on the box. Yes; I know the early leavers will use the usual reasons/excuses; midweek night game, work the next morning, kids in school, if I don't leave early it'll take me an hour longer to get home, etc etc. Fair enough; you pays your money, and you take your choice.

Everything is relative. It's probably the equivalent of you beating Kilmarnock.

School in the morning (even if they don't have kids with them), shite public transport and a motorist-hating council that won't let you park anywhere near the ground even on non-residential streets make post-match life a bit of a pain.
But it looks bloody awful on telly. It also looks bloody awful in the ground.
We need a trophy presentation every game, as all the excuses disappear when there's a chance to see us pick up a pot.

This is normal with us. At least 6/7000 fucked off before the end of a 3-0 win against United. Maybe more.

I always think that the way thousands of fans leave before the end of a game is the actions of a fanbase who are disgusted with a performance and have had enough of watching the team… yet it can be a good performance and a good win, like the other night.

I have always found it bizarre that we do this regularly when we’re such a great side who play great football and win games.

The same people do it no matter the size of the game or the scoreline. 4-0 up and they don’t stay to show their appreciation to the team after the whistle. And the team have been doing a lap of honour after wins in the last few years to also thank the crowd, so it’s not like they all just ignore the fans and head down the tunnel. But strangest of all is that it can be 1-1 in a title run-in game, and people just get up and leave before the end so don’t even get to see if there’s a winning goal… and we often have late winning goals!

I’ll never get my head around it.

That could’ve been a lot more difficult than it was.

Solid performance, positive, forwards football and looking to score goals rather than constantly just hold onto the ball. I’ve been critical of Pep’s tactics over the last season or two, but not a Pep outer, but this week we’ve seen two good wins against banana skin opponents and we’ve come out shining. We’ve looked fitter and sharper so hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Big test today which may be a bridge too far for us right now but I’m very happy with the week we’ve had.

Feel very sorry for Trafford but he must’ve known Donnaruma was on the cards when he signed. What a keeper he is though! Also great to see Foden looking like he wants to be a top player again, he has to stay central for me.
