No pressure on Pep, we're in a transitional period that much is pretty obvious. The season is 38 games long not 5, simple as.
No pressure on Pep? Hope you're having a laugh. There will always be pressure on whoever is managing city whether it's Pep or not. To suggest there isn't is just ridiculous.

Can't keep using the word 'transition' as an excuse as to why we aren't winning points - we still have a squad and manager that should in my view always be placed above the likes of Leeds and Sunderland.

A loss today would undoubtedly make it a dreadful start to the league season but a win could potentially kick start us to go on a run.

Has to be that 11 for me

Very tough game today. Arsenal look strong all over the pitch, Rice playing very well.
Saying that, we have one or 2 of our own who have been on fire and should worry Arteta.
Same back four and a strong first 20 minutes will help, along with Donnaruma fucking up their daft corner routines and we'll have a chance.
I'd take a draw today.

If it's not a transaction then wtf is it?. We've changed half our squad in the last 6 month, you're absolutely batshit crazy if u think it clicks immediately this shit takes time. Again! we're 4/5 games in stop with the Leeds & Sunderland bollocks, it's a 38 game season those two will be 30pts plus behind us if not relegated.

When we lose today (I say this hoping i eat my words, obviously) it will be a bad start but then we have 5 very winnable fixtures to come before a home tie against LiVARpool, nothing is won or lost in September.

Pressure wise I'm talking today, all the pressure is on Arsenal & Arteta, City are 3/1 to win we've been written off.

Khusanov needs to be playing, his recovery speed is vital at the back.
Haaland looks like he’s got his mojo back, & I’d like to see him ragdoll their defence for a change.
Doku’s pace, & a more direct City style, has seen him affect games much more this season already.
Doku, Haaland, Reijnders, are all capable of breaking the lines with their pace, & while I’m expecting Arteta to be his usual stifling tactical self, I’m wondering if Pep will embrace a little chaos today?
I can see Kushanov getting booked early on

Not looking forward to that depressing dirge they play before kick-off.
Some twat droning on about the hookers and smackheads in their "manor".
Makes Bluemoon sound like The Lauging Policeman, must be really fucking inspiring.

Stones you must be joking he will not make it past the first 20 minutes.

A blue sky makes a for a great start to the day, as for the match today anything is possible, fu*k Arsenal, all i ask is the boys give it there all and we're in with a shout.

We're clearly a team in transition, today's a good barometer as to where were at.

Bring it on, CTID

Ps - All of the above is assuming Pep doesn't pick Kalvin to start in place of Rodri (you never know) if that happens then it might be time, as bad as they were last night, to follow Chelsea again :-)

Top game so the starting line up will change for whatever reasons

Donna
Lewis - Dias - Gvardiol - Ake

Rodri - Reijnders - González
Foden - Bernardo
Haaland
Lewis will get rinsed at RB. Khusanov is our best option for several reasons. Main one is he can defend.

I don't know what will happen today and can take a narrow defeat as long as we goes toe to toe with Arsenal and give it our best shot. We are capable of beating them but we have to take our chances.

Come on City!

The least confident I’ve been for a match in a long while. As good as the last 2 games have been I think this is too soon for us to see us at our best . 3rd game in a week and a half fit Rodri maybe a stretch too far.
Hopefully we can put up a decent fight and I’d snap your hand off for a draw . It’s all about the long game in my opinion, Get our players back fit and the new players fully bedded in and I’m sure we can get back to beast mode .

Clean sheet would be a great result today.

However, if Reindeers/Foden can release Haaland behind Gabriel/Saliba like Napoli sending off and/or Doku continues driving into box centrally then I'm confident we can get a goal or two. Foden is showing 23/24 form in spells so who knows when he will unleash one from edge of box, maybe even today....

Only concern is Rodri. He's not close to being match fit @ elite level. Was blowing just after HT v Scum and that's a mid-table side at best, with no midfield. 90 mins away @ Arsenal is tougher test. Maybe Pep swaps Capt Silva or Reindeers out for Nico as cannot see him benching Foden, Doku or Haaland.

Arsenal 0:2 City Haaland [23] Foden [51]
Rodri was firing on all cylinders against Napoli, you catch that game?

Assuming Rodders is fit

Dunnarunner

Khush - Dias - Josko - Ake

Nico - Rodders

Foden - Reindeers - Doku

Alfies Lad

with the 3 behind Haaland free to roam

Bit of an early season litmus test now we're looking a bit better. Not super confident tbh, but let's see.
