Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

That performance is similar to Madrid under Ancelotti. I reckon we go far in a cup competition this season if we play like that. Haaland is unstoppable on the transition. Having a world class keeper like Madrid has with Courtois is why they were so frustrating for teams to play against in the champions league. Donnarumma is our Courtois

What a team performance after a very difficult week!

United, Napoli, Arsenal…W W D

Would have taken that 8 days ago and after seeing Pep(s) be more real in their approach, I feel even better now than I did before the game.

Hope Khusanov isn’t injured-injured.
Hope Nico isn’t injured-injured

After the start Donnarumma has made at City, I’m gutted he got caught in No Man’s Land. Looks big, strong, dominant, but clearly at fault for the goal. Rough with the smooth…

3-0, 2-0, 1-1

Would have taken that in a heartbeat last Sunday morning.

A point at the Emirates or Anfield is pretty much always a point gained. And we've shown another side to us, one that can dig in and be tough to beat when needed.

We now have a run of 4-5 very winnable games to play ourselves into a bit of form before Liverpool come to town. Don't need to worry about anybody else at this stage in the season, just keep doing what we've done this week.
Exactly! Long way to go, let's see where we are in a month or so, especially if Pep and the team can get everyone in the squad fit and up to speed.

C'mon you Blues!

Think today showed why both sides won’t be winning the title this season.

Disappointing to concede so late on but ultimately a good point after a busy week.

I said to my lad at half-time, one of the weirdest halves I’ve seen under Pep, basically Pulis’ Stoke with Crouch upfront. Nothing changed much in the 2nd half and Arsenal did the same, lobbing the ball over the top for a runner.

Who says we can’t adapt, and if we hadn’t only had a couple of days rest, taking off the knackered legs, we may have gone on to win that.

Disappointing for the late goal, but would’ve taken that before the game.

If Gigi is on his line no way Martinelli scores. the back line fell asleep aswell. Draw is ok, we move on
If he'd stayed on his line, he'd have been rightly pilloried on here.

Similar situation to RM's first goal in Madrid. There are times that a keeper is put in an awkward situation by his team and he just has to do his best, against the odds.
