Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I refuse to celebrate a draw. Who is responsible for the signings in the last 2-3 years? These players cant keep possesion or press like they should. Might aswell let Pep go if anti-football is the way forward for this team, Pep is not that coach. Can´t watch this that kind of football going forward and it didn´t even get the 3 points after all. Never thoguht il see us playing like this ,when Pep is still around.
Have you set your keyboard to idiot?

Precisely.

And now he plays for fucking Everton.

Jack there receives the ball and runs it into the corner or wins the free kick.

To be fair any other fucker apart from Savinho does that but because he's a fucking idiot forgets the previous 93 minutes and heads straight for Arsenals box.

How the fuck is he still at this club?
I am pretty sure last game he got attacked for not going for the goal and now it the other way around. Some people here will always complain

A good point.
A game of two halves.
First half we looked dangerous, defended well and looked in control.
Second half we was too deep, looked nervous.
Injuries didn’t help.
We’re not far off it imo.
Don't forget we have tired in our first few games this season in the last 20 mins. Pep just tried a different way to win. It will change with a full squad and full fitness. We are on the right track.

Outstanding defensively.

Very un-city like performance. Happy to concede possession, scored a counter attack goal and a put out a very good low block. It was like watching us in reverse.

I liked it though. Gritty, stubborn and bags of heart. We’re adding new elements and are actually pretty good at them.

Still worried about how shit Donnarumma is at corners though ;)

From BBC, think we all know why

93 minutes played in the Merseyside derby yesterday and 99 today? Only two extra second half substitutions today? Would love an explanation

Arteta is fucking deluded. Talking about domination. They're at home and have created fuck all for 90 mins.
He's a lego headed shit ****, pissing and moaning on the sidelines about time wasting today, make you fucking laugh seen as his side do it week in week out the fucking frauds.

Absolutely no chance they'll win a league title not a fucking hope.

They were at home today and he starts with 4 centre backs and 3 holding midfielders...what a fucking moron.

Id have taken a point before hand, 100%. Pissed off after defending so well to concede that goal, high line and donna caught on no mans land.

But honestly, ill take that point. A decent week of football

We're improving, showing multiple sides to our game, look stronger defensively on the whole. Let's see how we do on this 'easier' run of games before Liverpool.

i've seen better hold up play at the kindergarten level

I did we fought hard like an Everton
But thats pretty much all we showed. Could have been any team digging in and almost snatching a victory. You need a bit more quality tbh.

Like Pep just said we played this way because the opposition are better, its been a while since thats been the case. Last season was the start and if we're honest we dont know where we are. People got too giddy over the last 2 results.
Best just to chill and see what happens.
This opposition are very good in possession of the ball. With teams like that the only way is to defend with men behind the ball which allows us to hit on the break. The possession stats will get better as we improve our passing success rate but its early days. Pep has really changed his tactics to compete against possession based opposition .

Shurely you're not suggesting that arsenal would stoop low enough to cheat? Such an upstanding, law abiding club?
Arsenal weren't time wasting, they were chasing the game. So I think it s a nothing post.( Not yours, the one you quoted!!! )

They were happy with the draw..

We did good today.... we were top on the first half , they came at us and were stronger in the second half. We heald out well in an end to end open game.

7 points out of 5 games is not good and haven´t seen much that this season will be much better than last one
In the past week:

Winning a derby (not achieved last season)

First UCL game, comfortable seeing off the Italian champions (as opposed to Inter 0-0 last season)

Taking a point at the Emirates (unlike the 5-1 stuffing last season).

What are you using as a comparison?
