Go on,

It’s going to be topical with what Jack said and what happened today.

It will be argued we would have conceded anyway, but if 3 goes up rather than 7, those minutes play different.

The players know…

So second half can anyone get ball in play stats for the Liverpool game and our game.

Would be interesting

Desperate stuff…..

Maybe it is, but certainly it would be good to get some transparency on it.
It’s not done by ball in play.

There were 5 sub windows in the second half and 3 bookings.

At 30 seconds each, that’s 4 mins.

Then O’Reilly was down for a couple of mins at least before he went off.

That’s 6 mins before taking any “time wasting” into account.

I didn’t see the Liverpool game, but looking at the subs, bookings and goals, that should have been 3.5 mins, before any “time wasting” added.

7 was about right, TBH.
Had it been a minute more we couldn't have argued.

However. Liverpool????
Now that shocked me, especially as he'd booked Dewsbury-Hall for taking a free kick too quickly thus taking up time with the actual booking!

That’s all well and good but it’s not consistent and why was there another 2 mins on top of 7?
Until we get a system of ball in play with a stadium clock it will always be open to manipulation

Are you new to football?

Time should be kept OFF THE FIELD and visible to every fan on the big screen. This subjective “I’ve got a secret” from the ref is complete bollocks in 2025.

If the ref stops the game…Free kick, corner kick, injury, yellow card (which usually comes after the foul), etc…the clock should be stopped…and we should go to 40 minute halves with a 20 minute half time.

Throw ins and keeper possession should be a 5 sec rule. Throw ins should also be taken from where the ball goes out (heresy!!!) as it’s getting ridiculous at times!

Not only would we get more actual “in game” football, but we’d have time for a pint, a pie and a slash AND Pep wouldn’t get us fined for coming out late after every half time!!

Or, maybe he still would?! ;-)

And you'd miss the last train cos we'd still be playing at 10.30pm !

A hell of a lot of blues would never see the second half

Added time makes no sense really. If a team is winning 8-0 having scored all 6 of them in the second half i guarantee they don't add any more than 1-2 minutes on.
However if the score is 1-2, or 1-1 and the game is finely poised, or if the game is at the emirates or anfield, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll somehow find 7+ minutes to add. Its all very fucked.

It's judgement. They have formulas but it's still a judgement for time wasting and that could be whatever they wish, or what the occasion demands.

Any time wasting should be formally flagged on field and a standard 30s added on. It should never be left up to the ref and a finger in the air.

But I do believe pgmol like these grey areas, it gives them leeway in their reasoning around decisions.

There was never 7 minutes yesterday. Never in a million years. That lifted their fans (who were walking out at that point) and possibly had an impact on them pushing on for their goal. It is a myth that a yellow adds 30 seconds too. It doesn't. Zero goals, minimal stoppages so the only time you take into account is the subs, and that was not 7 minutes. Laughable but not surprising.
