It was like some weird religious cult, it’s alarming that the melt down they have had as a country being seduced by Trump twice. It’s now emboldening the West’s enemies in Russia and China to see what they can get away with as the United States is sliding towards being an autocratic state.
 
I was travelling yesterday so missed an awful lot but have seen some footage of the memorial gathering. Trump can't help himself can he? Rambling speech that soon deferred to the "oh woe is me" default then mauling the widow making faces to the audience like the creepiest most lecherous uncle and was getting generous applause for it all. We are so close to his Sieg Heil moment - I'd swerve any WC matches in their country personally - especially if I didn't have the correct look

No, we can just see how Trump and MAGA are using this death as a political gateway to further control and power.

They have turned Kirk into a martyr, creating a us v 'them' mantra promising 'revenge' and framing it as a 'truth' against 'lies' struggle - this really is fascist and it is worrying, you just can't see it.
