I think so too, but I still think the hype around the 'list' etc is more intriguing than the likely truth.

about 50 odd people in the Royal Family.

650 MPs

10's of thousands of celebs

with a blood thirsty media desperate to expose any of their wrong doings. you will be permanently pissed off as there will always be a scandal with that amount of people, same for all walks of life.

The media is not thirsty to expose the Royal Family. Others, yes, but the reciprocal 'photos for favours' agreement is alive and well.

well they're not holding back Fergie, main story all day yesterday, GM Britain had a big segment about it etc. also look how the media helped exposed Prince Andrew, was the media interview that practically exposed him for what he is.

They will throw a few sprats overboard, for sure, but let's be clear: Charles - longstanding affair; Charles - longstanding friendship with Jimmy Saville; Camilla - longstanding affair; Ann - multiple affairs; Andrew - alleged abuser of minors and lies about relationship with Epstein; Elizabeth - £13m hush money payment; Philip - ladies of Knightsbridge; Mountbatten - allegations of repeated visits to Irish children's home and outings with boys. Against that backdrop, the press still court them and still offer mainly favourable words. There is no hesitation in calling Camilla Queen, for example, and the rest is NEVER spoken of, bar Andrew.
The allegations about William's affair are met with absolute silence. Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry are hounded because they are a threat.

Princess Diana would disagree with that wouldnt she? Also her kids who've actually left nthe country and royal family because of it.

I dont love or loathe the royals but I can see they have been hammered by the media over my lifetime. Maybe I misunderstood the convo here but royals being hounded by the media is a thing surely??

They definitely hound those deemed a threat.
They did hound Diana.
I think things changed for a period after her death.

Yes but there is understandable anger when the elite use their position to get away with stuff that would have us ‘inferiors’ in jail.

Exactly, the press and media have hounded the royals forever, sure some have more preferential treatment - Kate & Meghan the biggest example, but they all get hounded and many sectors of the media look for any angle to find a breaking story on them.

It's pointless debating with him. If you remember the England and Southgate threads you'll know why, but he's entitled to his opinion of course.
