11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

I think the recent change in tactics has really suited him, all three teams we have played have had a go to an extent and not just parked the bus like in recent seasons. This space has allowed doku to flourish, him trying to break down 11 behind the ball and 10 in the box is where he has struggled in the past. Weirdly I think Burnley will be a bigger test than the last three games.
I doubt it, he seems to be drifting centrally this season. His explosion of pace we saw against Napoli is what I expect with packed defense.

118 minutes per GA in all compets so far. Let's hope he maintains that level over the entire season.

Lets see, hopefully he can do it. He was always one who at least made a difference when we won the league 2 years ago unlike say savinho so he deserved his chance and is getting it.

Always backed Doku. He’s still young and he can develop his final product.

He has natural ability. He’s a diamond who just needs work.

That raw acceleration, power and brilliant dribbling ability cannot be taught. The final pass and improvement of shooting can be developed on the training ground.

Joy to watch him so far, I’m buzzing. He’s got so much potential.

I've never understood the unjustified criticism of Doku. Ok, he makes a few mistakes but I think he's our most exciting player and he's constantly trying to make things happen. I think he will become a world class player if he keeps improving.
The criticism was justified to an extent. However this season he is operating in areas which are more suited to his ability and he's impacting the game a lot more. He's still got some improving to do and I think he needs to get his head up more. There was a breakaway on Sunday where he ended up dribbling across the width of the pitch and then passing back to Rodri who blazed over. A crossfield ball to Reijnders earlier in the move would've led to a shot on goal
But that'll come

Needs to stay fully fit, I think he suffers when he starts getting little niggles.

Been outstanding the last few games. Playing slightly more inside has really enabled him to drive us forward with the ball.

Hope he gets a rest tomorrow but is back in the XI against Burnley.

He will be.

His work rate has improved and his output has improved.

He will still have average/poor games going forward as not every player has a good game every game but his start has been promising.

In the summer I was calling for Doku to be sold. On current showing he’s really starting to show something that I didn’t think was there. Big games, big moments. @richards30 I admit I was wrong. Hopefully he will maintain this form.

On fire. Doku without the end product is one of the most frustrating players to watch. Doku with end product is a delight.
