Media discussion - 2025/26

Given we don't play at Anfield until February, we've got plenty of time to perfect our park the bus tactics.

I hope we don't go full Mourinho and do it at home though.
Don't think we'll play that way against the dippers. They're not as good as the results they have scraped. They are still reliant on the boot up the pitch for Salah to chase and their over priced squad looks pretty average on the pitch. My big worry when we play them is the officials and always has been.

I find it indicative of the idiocy in the media that they consistently lambast Amo for failing to adapt his tactical formation or have any form of Plan B yet when Pep changes his formation he is criticised for doing so and accused of being afraid of Arsenal
Amo? Well I suppose he is a complete weapon.

Even by ESPN's shit standards this was one of the worst I've heard. Robson saying that the approach was proof that Guardiola doesn't believe his team is good enough, and that he was afraid of Arsenal.

No mention of the injuries, or the scheduling or even the fact that Arsenal have had a full pre season whereas City were at the Club World Cup.

No mention of the fact that City created the better chances and defended very well. Fuck me, the media coverage of football has well and truly jumped the shark now.

"Salah robbed of Balon D'or..."

"Not many PL players have won the title. Rodri won last year, but that was because Spain won the Euros. Christian Ronaldo won it in a Manchester United Shirt"

Mental gymnastics of SSN.
No mention of Haaland being robbed of the award, when it was given to Messi playing in a farmers league just because he played for Argentina winning the WC

I used to really rate Henry Winter as a journalist, yes he was occasionally prone to hyperbole but sadly since he was binned by the Times and had to go self-employed he's had totally pander to the red shirts. Every article and comment now is some sycophantic drivel praising liverpool especially. Why do a long article now about a rule that's been in place for well over a decade??

Another match day, another negative article by the BBC, it's uncanny

And as ever with the bbc negative stories, the HYC section is open.

The actual "story" is all over the place, claiming he'd have gone to NUFC as 1st choice and then stating that Nick Pope has 4 out of 5 clean sheets so he probably wouldn't have been. Basing the story on an unfounded comment from Shay Given that he'll be raging about Donner coming is nonsense as well, surely they could have just asked Trafford?

Got to get them clicks and interactions going now he's basically unemployed.

I agree Winter has decent writing skills but he has always pandered to Liverpool and their fans.

I am not sure it is idiocy. It is them simply being disingenuous.

Well I’ll go to the foot of our stairs

BBC Gossip page this morning has not one single reference to the Rags

I can’t recall this ever happening before either Simon has moved to another role or someone has forgotten to carry out his instructions whilst he has no commitments this week

Or more likely the twat is behind the attempt to destabilise Trafford this morning and completely forgot to add the useless drivel on the Gossip site
