Haaland the great

All the youtube heads have him 4th best in the league behind Isak, Ekitike and Gyorkeres. They never learn
This winds me up…
- Isak… has his best ever season and scores just ONE more than Haaland in his worst season for us.
- Ekitike… partner to Marmoush at Frankfurt
- Gyokeres… made his name scoring a hat trick v City. But let’s not forget it was 2 pens and a mishit shot. Also, Simpson-Pusey and Akanji were his opponents. What did he do on Sunday?

None of these are anywhere near Erlings level, and this will be proven come May.

I reckon Haaland will become the first player to score 400+ for an English club. He’s already on 131.

Dixie Dean - 383
Ian Rush - 346
Steve Bloomer - 332

The current Man City representatives in the top 50 all time top flight scorers are:

Brackets appearances and goals for City.

20. Dave Halliday 257/211 (76/47)
27. Denis Law 377/201 (68/30)
37. Andrew Cole 415/187 (22/9)
41. Sergio Aguero 275/184
50. Peter Dobing 509/173 (82/31)

Haaland will do well to break into it. He’s on 91 league goals so far. He could maybe do it in 5 seasons, probably 6 though.

Oh Erling Haaland,
scoring goals for City,
winning cups at City,
winning leagues at C i i i t y

Oh Erling Haaland
repeat

to the tune of that fucking Amorin song !!

I know it’s a haaland thread, but fucking hell aguero was a different breed!
And that’s considering he didn’t have a great injury track record! Imagine if he had the luck that someone like salah has had with Liverpool…

Haaland though. What can you say about him? Obviously above world class, he gets stick for tap in’s (which in itself is bullshit) but his movement and reading is phenomenal. Plus the way he takes his chances (most of the time) is mind boggling, he makes it all look so easy

I think a fully fit Haaland can break all the records, but people will keep downplaying his goal-scoring stats against the top 6 teams + Newcastle.
They won’t take the full context into account when comparing. Haaland is playing against some of the best versions of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle ever. He’s scoring goals, but the numbers aren’t quite Aguero-level yet.

On the other hand, Aguero played against much weaker Liverpool sides (pre-2018), joke Arsenal teams (basically every year), and Spurs and Newcastle who weren’t even close to what they are now.
The only teams that were arguably stronger back in Aguero’s era compared to now were United and Chelsea.

In a league that is probably more defensive than at any time in its history.
