Injuries 2025/26 | Kovacic could be ruled out for further 3-4 months (p37)

It’s a shout but I’ve yet to be convinced by Reijnders and I think Kovacic was hung out to dry a bit last season as a defensive midfielder, he’ll never be.
Yeah, I think Reijnders is finding the Premier League a bit more difficult than Seria A to play in, as would probably be expected ..... his run and pass was instrumental in Haaland scoring at Arsenal though, and the games don't come any tougher than that, so I reckon he'll fully adapt to the pace of the game here in time ..... he also needs to really work on what is supposed to be one of his strengths, 'shooting from distance', because since the Wolves game he's probably missed the target more than he's actually hit it.

Everyone back for Everton but not before according to this…

I expect that goes for Kova too.

Which sort of contradicts the earlier source. I don’t know which is more reliable?

We have played 5 Premier League games so far, and you are expecting him to make a seamless transition from Serie A?

I suggest you take a look at Wirtz and Isak and they have gone into a title-winning team. Or you might like to think back to other successful City buys who were given longer than 6 weeks to find their feet.

Nobody's expecting him to put in consistent performances right away, as i've indicated in the post, but there's nothing stopping him working hard in training, and gradually building up to that level of performance on the pitch ..... as with almost every other player we bring in.

They aren't all like Haaland, who can hit the ground running !

Is he not?

Hes a good player. He just needs to make the adjustment to the PL which is faster and more physical than SeriaA. He’ll get there.

Yep, that's more or less what I said in my post .... it's all about gradual adjustment .... the Premier League is different to Serie A, as you say it's more intense, more physical, faster.

Noone would say much if City were 5 out of 5 in the league ,but unfortunately thats not the case and surely you expect every player to do much better , not much time if team wants to stay in the title hunt.
