Do we have any promising strikers coming through from the youth set up ?
Atm i feel we are 1 short in the squad as with Marmoosh injured, we have no options off the bench to rest Haaland with another proper striker (or to go 2 up front if needed).

I think the whole team was there? It was a goodbye thing for Akanji. I saw pictures of Ake, Joško, Rico, Savinho, Kova, Marmoush. Pretty much everyone. It didn’t look wild - at least there were no pictures of anyone stumbling out!
Well at least the likes of Grealish shouldn't have any worries about toppling off the top deck of the open top bus at Everton .... by the time Everton win a trophy again the open top buses should all be parked up, and covered in cobwebs in some transport museum somewhere!

Without Kyle and Jack will the paparazzi even stake out these private events anymore? The rest of these guys feel like they’d want to be in bed early and/or home to put their kids to sleep - almost boring! (not a bad thing!)

Out and out strikers are thin on the ground in the club.
I would describe nearly all as forwards, playing across the front-line.
Oboavwoduo and Lamb are probably the only absolute strikers.
Players like R.Heskey and McAidoo are wide players who score.
Mukasa more a 10/8.

Am I completely out of order in whingeing about our injuries? Hell, Ait-Nouri out; Cherki out; Marmoush out; now Khusanov out. These are not minor players, and they're all young and new. It just doesn't seem normal to me, a mere six weeks or so into the season.
Welcome to the Premier League's new, more 'physical' game.
Kicking lumps out of skilful players is the new format*, to be successful you need to be big, strong, fast and willing to go down like you've been shot at the slightest contact while your teammates harangue the ref.
*obvious exceptions apply

that's hardly 'new'

Want us to win but wouldn't be that upset if we're knocked out. The squad isn't ready for juggling four competitions just yet.

I would argue our squad isn't ready for an official title or CL charge yet, and that getting a league cup under the belt of the younger and more newer players to the team will benefit them greatly.

We are in a position right now where we are probably 3rd favourite for the league and about 6th for the CL, whereas in seasons gone by were 1st or 2nd favourites in both, meaning it was probably best to sack of the league cup.

Not saying we cannot win the two big ones, but I think in all reality this season we could do with going all out for the league cup just in case.

Oboavwoduo isn't a striker, more of a 10. Sangare and Warhurst are traditional centre forwards.

Not sure what our answer will be tonight as I can't see an obvious choice as a number 9 or false 9 based on the squad rumoured to be available.

Obviously the paparazzi will still be hovering
