McAidoo was a sub last night so maybe that rules him out
Perhaps, I think Palmer played for the first team the day after the EDS once though so not unheard of.

That’s the spirit!Realistically the cups are our only chance of silverware this season so I fully expect a strong 11 then to make changes after an hour if we're 2 up.
Trafford
Nunes
Dias
Stones
Ake
Gonzalez
Lewis
Bobb
Foden
Savio
Haaland
one of the great things about winning this thing every year was academy players getting 2/3 games with the first team. we've missed the platform I thinkFrom what I've heard there's an excellent chance of Mfuni, Mukasa and Reigan Heskey starting. Braithwaite and Jaden both in squad contention. Not sure on McAidoo.
Be incredible to see a team with Trafford, Lewis, Mfuni, Mukasa, Heskey and Bobb starting.
Could end up with 7 or 8 academy players on the pitch at the same time if we're doing well.
I think the whole team was there? It was a goodbye thing for Akanji. I saw pictures of Ake, Joško, Rico, Savinho, Kova, Marmoush. Pretty much everyone. It didn’t look wild - at least there were no pictures of anyone stumbling out!Partying or having dinner?

Is 2025 Kalvin Phillips going to be significantly better than an academy player? I genuinely don't know.
And he still complained about game time!He played for our first team, coming on as a sub and then later that day played for the EDS and got a hat trick iirc.
if they had only invited Jack...Dinner at an ‘expensive’, ‘spectacular’ Greek restaurant. No plates were smashed and no Sirtaki danced, though, much to the chagrin of the English press.
Am I completely out of order in whingeing about our injuries? Hell, Ait-Nouri out; Cherki out; Marmoush out; now Khusanov out. These are not minor players, and they're all young and new. It just doesn't seem normal to me, a mere six weeks or so into the season.

They're new. they are levelling up to our methods of training. Once they are there they are stronger imo.Am I completely out of order in whingeing about our injuries? This'd be a good game for Savi to change a few opinions about him.

I don't think it's wild to expect him to be significantly worse at this stage. Barely played any football, completely shot of confidence and clearly not comfortable in how we traditionally play under Pep. Having said that, a fully fit Kalvin was possibly just what we needed against Arsenal on Sunday. Break things up, intercept and get rid of the ball on the counter. That suits his game and was exactly what he was tasked with doing for England in the Euro's where he excelled....maybe it's not game over just yet
