The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

I have English Teacher coming up in November. Was contemplating going to see Titanic at the White Hotel in Salford because I have wanted to see a gig there for a while - they are there in October. Titanic supported BCNR recently and noisy folk cello industrial metal jazz might be my new favourite genre

Nominate it then. Not listened to BCNR's new album, but not sure I would have described their last album as that though. Who else exemplifies this genre..

The sight of a support act called Legends of Country would have me running for the nearest exit!! Save yourself…

Stuck them on Spotify for a laugh. Not that terrible tbf. A bit lighthearted, don't seem to take themselves too seriously.

I do know Lucinda Williams is meant to be coming this year (well technically it is the next year, but you know what I mean). The Americana section has been growing every year, with bigger acts joining. Not something I'd see but I know she was well recieved here. Imagine a lot of the usual suspects will be back, but will review fully once all published. Next up for me is All Them Witches in a couple weeks.

Seen Willams before but not since her stroke. By the time I noticed All Them Witches were touring they'd sold out. :-(

Speak Now - Taylor Swift

Any album that includes the line "someday, I'll be living in a big old city" is a easily a country album, and this one of Swift's earlier albums is just that.
I hate to break this to you, Coatigan, but any album that includes a track titled "Passed Through The City" is easily a...

I'm thinking Mancitydoogle is going to sleep tonight with a big ole' smile on his face after seeing the associated artists of this band including John Prine and others right up his alley. They remind me more of DBT akin to Patterson Hood's vocals than Jason Isbell, but it's all in the family here, make no mistake.
