Really good tonight. If Haaland is on the pitch he gets several assists. Plenty of times in the first half he got into crossing positions but had nobody to supply. Put more balls in during the second half, some of them were decent and could have resulted in a goal, others were wasteful. Great finish for his goal, probably should have had at least another though. Bit of a mixed bag in terms of output but still really positive.
 
He’s clearly goti it! Just like Bobb and Doku have. If he’d not scored would get slated though. 3 potential great young wingers. It was only Huddersfield though so he looked like a young Sane pace wise . Given time all 3 will be brilliant:

I mentioned earlier in the thread that when we play openly, the wingers are going to revel in the extra space.

Feel like I’m going mad. The goal has seemingly tricked people into thinking he’s any good had a good game! He was absolutely woeful.

If that goal doesn’t go in, then I can’t believe people would say he was decent last night. He was getting very little joy down the left and his crossing was atrocious.

Hopefully he can get his head down after the goal and kick on.
 
He is still young and inconsistent. He had a lot of good opportunities last night but too often his final ball is poor,
 
Shocking first half, much better second half. He came out after half time like he’d had a rocket up his arse in the changing room - much better intensity, brought the ball inside as well as down the wing so mixed his game up better and a good finish to round it off.

It was Huddersfield, mind. He needs to show that same level against a Premier League team to get into the team. I’m sure he can but not sure he will be able to do it consistently enough to make the wing his own. Especially how Doku is playing.

Disagree with this and I'm a critic of him.

Thought he had the fullback on toast most of the night. We also need to accept that, whoever the winger, most crosses will fail due to the amount of defenders in the box. It's very, very, difficult to pick out a forward.

He was regularly getting a few yards and putting the ball into dangerous areas, or keeping the ball and rebuilding it looking for a one-two.

Not the perfect performance obviously, but he's been out injured and this is his first start since then. It was a promising performance and one he can hopefully build from.
