Joie Stadium

It's all good news. Also shows the diversification of the sponsors.

So now the Jolie Stadium at the Etihad Campus. Hopefully everything from the sponsorship feeds directly into the Women's Team.

Wasn't this mooted a while ago when they talked of a new shirt sponsor and Etihad to keep the stadium name and the campus?

Yeah, the women's team has fallen behind a tad when we lost the midfield and one or two others. It has felt like we don't have the resource to compete with the other top four when it comes to wages or maybe the Manager is struggling or maybe Peps style isn't suited to the women's game. Our women are good but seem to be dominated physically, sometimes. Anyway, hopefully the squad can get what they need from more funds.

However we paid a British transfer record for Jill Roord

Media reports saying the stadium has become the first in the UK to be dedicated to women’s football. Is this a positive media spin, or are the Academy not going to play there anymore?

Apart from the sponsorship, can anyone see anything else that has changed?

Interesting piece looking at stadiums for the women's game. We get a name check for the pram park ( a gazebo behind W1) but no other mention which is odd , given we are the only WSL with our own stadium .

It's not exclusively used by our women though, is it?
