Couldn’t get a replacement. My argument would be I’d rather Bobb and Mukasa get the game time in all honesty

I thought he was pretty crap today
 
Didn't get much chance to do anything in fairness. Most of our play came down the left. He looked a threat once or twice but hard to judge him when he saw so little of the ball. This was something Mahrez suffered from a lot in his early days. we focus down the left side so much and the right was mostly just an out ball and a way of shifting the defensive unit and so he also had little opportunity to do anything and was slated for it. Savinho was just fine nothing else.

Bobb and Mukasa will have their opportunities too and come the end of the season Pep will have made up his mind.

Apparently they never came back with an improved bid. Their bid was £45m. £60m was our demand.

I think they only met £60m with add-ons and we said no.

There was a contrast though when Bobb came on. He didn’t try and take the defence on but linked far better with Phil and Reijnders and Nunes. Did nothing spectacular but just played better more intelligent football and suddenly we looked far better.
 
I think we are too left dominant. Basically we need to play more over the right - not just savinho but also when Bobb is on that side. We are slowly getting carried by Doku Game for Game ( started last season already). If he use the other side more I think savinho and Bobb will play better.
 
I fear he is being puckered up to be the next boo boy :)

I've always had the feeling that if it clicks, there'll be no stopping him. There's definitely something there..

But will it click or is he one of those players that just can't really kick on despite having some good tools?

It's worth giving him time. He's still a young player. If he's still shown no progression by next summer, then I think it'll be time to think about his future. You at least want to see some improvements over two seasons and I'd say we have seen no improvements as it stands.

Just don’t see it. He does one good thing every now and again but for the majority he’s safe on the ball and lazy off it. Compare to Bobb who came on, got in a goalscoring position and was more aggressive when he had the ball and in his press.

He waves his arms at the crowd more than he does good things on the ball.

That's usually after one of his acrobatic dives (did one today out on the wing after he got fouled.) Burnley player laughed at him for it.

I can only think that some fans are unaware he is 21 years old
 
Wouldn't be surprised if Savinho significantly improved over the next month and put in some really good performances. Imo, by November he will be good.

Doku looked lost before the international break. Take a look at his thread. This thread is the same. People jumping to negative conclusions.
 
I wouldn’t be surprised at all. At times he looked far better than Doku last season and when you look how he actually moves he is already top level. It’s just that stuff like yesterday where he goes past his player while running nowhere happens too often. Creation wise he is top 3 in Europe. At least he was last season again in terms of dribbles, passes and carry abilities. Also people saying he is slow is weird when he is actually faster than Doku.

If the assistant coach is the reason for Doku playing better than he should be able to do it for 2 year younger Savinho too, I personally think savinho and Doku both need more freedom to switch sides like they did at the start of last season.

People here turn their minds game after game anyways. Can’t make anyone happy. The spurs rumor turned him into the new mahrez. Same with Nunes if it’s a positive aspect no one will mention like going 3/3 at the start against his defender.
