If you have used them, how’s your experience been?

Just recently been to We Buy Any car on the Fort (Cheetham hill)
After being honest on the online questionaire…
1) Scratch/slight dint on rear passenger door
2) Partial service history (lost last 2yrs paperwork)
Quoted £3000 online.
Went down with all my documents, online checks, engine test, look at interior which was fine.
Offered me £1700 LOL
Walked off and then offered me £2005.
He couldnt tell me why there was such a reduction
Seem like con-artists preying on vulnerable people

Went with Motorway

Would go with motorway everytime. Used it twice in the last 3yrs and both my wife's Toyota Yaris and lads VW polo sold over expected value. We buy any car nowhere near the prices we got.Went like clockwork on both occasions.

I am thinking of selling mine next year via motorway.
I've got a couple of scratches on my car though. Is it worth me getting them sorted before selling? Wondered if they would knock off far more the value of the car than it would cost me to have fixed before selling

Couldn't you get an online valuation with the scratches included. Then do another one without the scratches. See what the difference in valuation is and how it compares to the cost of fixing the scratches.

wouldn't touch we rob anyone, got a quote for an old ford focus about £1200 wanted to buy a 2 year old puma for 20k in a ford dealers, not a chance.
Saw same puma with lower mileage in my local motorpoint for 18.5k enquired and ended up part exchanging the focus for £3750, thats not a small difference!

I sold my car with Motorway and the inspector noticed a scratch on the rear bumper so they offered me £400 than original offer price. I accepted as I wanted to sell there and then. I'd get those scratches sorted if I was you because it'll be cheaper than them offering you a lower price.

I was happy with Motorway because it was a straightforward sale and even with £400 off they still payed me more than Webuyanycar and car wow.

Same thing happened to me. I just ended up laughing at the girl in the office. And yes, I got the impression they were just looking for people desperate for cash who had no choice but to sell something.

Used WBAC.com once - never, ever use them again.
My partner was selling her car and looking to replace.
Had the usual accusation over understating any faults. £800 off original valuation.
Only allowed a test drive a car she wanted to buy around the car park. Road test then OK'd by manager.
Lied telling her the remaining 4 years warranty wasn't transferable and tried to sell her a new one.
The car she bought had a different manufacturer's radio; wouldn't work of the steering column.
The keys they gave her did not included one for the fuel cap.
I used my credit card to pay and spotted an error on their reader (in their favour of course).

She had very little knowledge about cars and, I'm not being macho here, but on her own, she would have been mightily ripped off by WBAC.com

Just an update.
Car went up for auction with Motorway yesterday at £3350.00
Confirmation today it was sold for £3390.00
Being collected for free
No fee’s - i get the full amount.

F*ck you We buy any car!!! £1700.00 offer
F*ck you Arnold Clark!!! £2000.00 offer
Pppffttt

I would recommend Motorway to anyone selling their car
