I dont want to sound like a broken record but Delap Should've been resigned, we resigned Trafford and put him on the bench.

Haaland needs to be rested and needs competition.
Haaland’s backup is injured. Where would delap play?

Should be a comfortable win this. They played over an hour with ten men at the weekend and got battered by Club Bruges in their first game. Expecting us to have far too much for them. Get the game won then make some changes ready for the weekend like the good old days. Brentford will be a tough game with their direct approach, but win these next two and things will feel very good heading into another pointless international break.

Those games they lost were away from home. At home they might be difficult to beat IF Rodri isn't available. Their attack is currently the most productive in Ligue 1.

Should win this comfortably enough. Going with 3-1 big Erl, Doku & Bernardo on the scoresheet

I'm guessing something like

Donnarumma

Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly

Rodri

Silva (Savinho?)
Foden
Reijnders (Bobb?)
Doku

Haaland

I'm assuming that Rodri was rested against Burnley with wednesday night in mind. What's the story with Boulders? He was on the bench at the weekend.

It will not be as easy as you make out. An early red card for a foul on Erling would be helpful though.

Think Bernardo will definitely come back in, but that could be the only change to the XI that started against Burnley. Hoping that Cherki could be on the bench too. Guess we’ll find out later today when the travelling squad is announced.

That's not very encouraging is it?
he said he had pain in his knee which i would think after three back to back games in a week coming off an injury is to be expected, hes still coming back from in and is being sensible with it, it wouldnt surprise me if he sits out until after the international break and it will do him no harm.

Why won't it? We're playing a team sat 4th in Ligue 1 that concedes goals for fun. Club Bruges aren't even top of the Belgian league but battered them 4-1. Domestically they've played 6 games, won 4 and lost 2. They've lost to teams sat 13th and 6th and beaten teams sat 18th, 14th, 15th and 5th.

I'd suggest the signs aren't positive for their prospects this season.

We will batter them.

I think we can batter them if Rodri starts. If he doesn't start, anything is possible, with a narrow win or a draw the most likely outcome.

Football isn't played on paper. Otherwise, Wigan wouldn't have bothered to play against the Centurions. Bookies rightly regard us as favourites but don't treat Monaco as absolute outsiders either. It would be silly to do so.
